ALL WILL BE GONE

Why are we so far removed from nature?
The moon is distant.
The stars keep their distance.
Trees and grass are retreating from sight.
The ice caps are receding.
Soon all will be memories.
What will be left?
Just us.

THE END

The end is here.
The end could be near.
What do we fear?
Do we fear failure?
Do we fear the final proof
of the emptiness of our existence?
Well, we should.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

A school for peculiar children.
How peculiar was peculiar at that time?
Were these children murderers?
Psychopaths?
They sat around a circle.
Doing what?
Terrifying each other?
Or were they terrified
of their teachers?
Imagine the horrors.
Imagine the sadness
between these walls.
No wonder it closed down.
Where are these children now?

KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED

splendiferoushoney: by Martin at hipydeus

The past calls to you.
A past filled with balls and dancing.
Balls held at castles.
Dancing in the moonlight.
Close your eyes.
A carriage awaits you
to carry you to the ball.
A castle lit up by candles.
Footmen escort you.
Your name is trumpeted .
You glide down the staircase
in your new ball gown.
The music begins to play.
A handsome man walks over
with an extended hand.
He leads you onto the dance floor.
You dance and sway
to the beautiful music.
You close your eyes.
Yes it is a dream,
but keep your eyes closed
and dream on.

THE MOON TAKES THE DAY

tulipnight:
Moon light by  FairieGoodMother on deviantART
What if one day, the moon refuses
to remain in second place?
What if it gets tired of the sun?
The sun owning the day.
The sun lifting people’s spirits.
Giving warmth to the planet.
Having its face reflected in the ocean.
The moon might rise up,
and take control of the day.
But would it look strange?
Would it glow like the sun?
Would it give warmth?
No.
The moon should remain where it belongs,
as the shadow of the night.
Its assigned place in the universe.

TRAPPED IN WONDERLAND

Too many people on the streets.
Cars honking their horns.
People shoving each other.
When did life become so hectic?
Why is everyone in a hurry?
Where are they all going?
They become a blur to me.
One shoving mass of humanity.
Hurrying to their end.
No individuality.
No caring.
No manners.
Only a need
to get somewhere fast.
Trapped in their
Alice of Wonderland—
in a hurry to go nowhere.

SUPERIOR SPOOKFEST

SUPERIOR SPOOKFEST

cover
I LOVE THIS REVIEW OF THE DEAD GAME!
October 24, 2014
Format: Kindle Edition
The Dead Game by Susanne Leist is a top-notch haunted house horror thriller. The author excels at spooky descriptions, terrifying scenarios like opening a door and stepping into a black abyss or forever trapped in a dark maze with endless rooms stretching into infinity. Her characters are perfect and the reader can easily connect with them.
Linda moves to the perfect seaside town to open up a book store. But soon strange things happen that peaks her interest in the old house on the hill. She and her friends receive an invitation to a party at the house. This screams DON’T GO – but her inquisitive nature wins over.
Here the author ramps up the action full of terrifying games that defy the imagination as the house wants to play. This reader had nightmares after this book and even so, needs to know what the house owner has to offer with further games of the dead.
This is a truly scary read for Halloween and is suitable for 13+ and adults.
FIVE STARS for this haunted house horror and highly recommended.

A HOUSE OF ICE

A HOUSE OF ICE

A house of ice,
built from solid blocks of ice
is unstable.
It is only temporary.
Once the sun comes out,
the bricks melt,
the house falls.
Like a house of lies.
Once the lies are uncovered,
the house collapses on itself.
A house’s foundation
must be built to be strong & true.

PERSEVERANCE

Perseverance

We trudge along in our hard lives.
Suffer through illnesses and deaths.
But we still carry on.
Why?
Why does this flower continue
to hold its head up high?
Hope.
It hopes for warmer days ahead.
We hope for better times.
Hope keeps us alive and warm.
We must never give up on hope.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 168

THE DEAD GAME — DAY 168

door

Linda was saved from the snake and the tank of alligators. But more dangers were in store for Linda and her friends. Whom could they trust?

Linda was snatched from the body of the large snake by Reece, who had flown up to her. He brought her down into Todd’s waiting arms.
“I hope all the evil in town has been eliminated. Am I finally correct this time?” Todd asked the elders.
You haven’t been correct once so far, Mike said to himself.
Reece said, “I believe all the evil has been eradicated. You can all go home.”
“Where was Hayden during all this?” Sam asked.
“We sent him to Europe to take care of a few matters for us. We knew that either you or Sam would successfully resolve this situation,” Reece said, walking over to shake Todd’s hand.
“How did you know that one of us would be stepping in to save everyone? I was waiting for Hayden. I was only attempting to buy us some time,” Todd said.
You were just lucky this time. If you had really tried, then things wouldn’t have worked out so well.
“I knew that one of you would be successful, since you both have untapped powers that need to be further developed,” Reece said.
“What type of powers?” Mike asked.
“That’s for another day,” Reece said before he disappeared with Leanne and Diane right behind him.
Mike glanced over at Todd and Sam, trying to figure out what these untapped powers could be.

NATURE'S WILL BE DONE

We fight nature’s will.
Ride its mighty waves.
Dig up its natural resources.
Cut down its plentiful trees.
Pollute its clear waters.
But will we ever have total control?
Make it bow to our will.
Never.
Nature can never be tamed
or controlled.
It will remain strong,
long after we’re gone.

THE BEAST WITHIN

zodiacke: Beast by Klaus Wittmann

The beast within.
Each one of us has
a beast lurking inside.
Waiting to be free.
Free to wreck havoc.
To seek revenge.
Yearning to be free.
We must tame the savage beast.
Refuse to let it take control
of our lives and our hearts.
We must soothe the savage beast.
Or we risk becoming one ourselves.

THE DOLL FROM HELL

pachipachiworld:
Krzysztof Zaprutkiewicz

You are sound asleep.
You wake up.
You feel someone watching you.
You look around the room.
No one is there.
There are shadows and moonlight.
But no one.
You look over at the shelves.
Shelves across the room.
Eyes are watching you.
They are glowing white.
Who do they belong to?
The creepy doll on the shelf.
Why did you save it?
You have no ready answer.
You get up to walk to the doll.
The room lengthens and widens.
You are walking toward the doll.
But you are not getting any closer.
You hear laughter coming from
the spot where she sits.
Demonic laughter that chills your soul.
You try to walk.
But your feet are stuck to the floor.
Are you in a nightmare?
Or are you a new toy for the doll from hell?
It laughs again.
