ENDLESS PILE

Pebbles float in the water.
Too many pebbles to count.
The sea holds mystery for me.
It offers freedom from the grind.
It may hold the answers I seek.
I will join the floating pebbles.
Add one more to the endless pile.

RED HOT

Red hot waves lap at the shore.
Bringing with it blood and gore.
Paradise has come to an end.
The Dead are right around the bend.
Death is their evening delight.
They descend with all of their might.
Florida will never be the same.
Once it becomes part of The Dead Game.

CALL MY NAME

I walk alone in the cold night.
On roads cleared but deserted.
No one calls my name to stop.
No one cares to see who I am.
I walk alone every night.
Hoping to find the one for me.
Hoping someone calls my name.
And cares enough to stop.

Shackles of Green

Green grows deep in the forest.
Slithering up the tall trees.
Digging holes into the earth.
Beds of green wherever we turn.
The earth rumbles and quakes.
Yearning to free itself.
From the shackles of green.
Tethered to its arms and legs.
Soon all is lathered in the lime color.
A mist of green encircles it all.

HEAVEN’S GATE

Pink Sky

The sky is pink overhead.
I will try to lift my head.
Waves lap at the shore.
There can’t be much more.
I can feel the sand.
Please give me your hand.
I must see this before it’s too late
And I am waiting at heaven’s gate.

THE DEAD ONE

birds scatter

I hear the birds in the trees,
Singing in the warm breeze.
They know who is soon coming.
To the beat of the drumming.
Wolf is back in book two.
He can be me or you.
He’ll be another body.
But he will be somebody.
We all know from book one.
He’ll still be The Dead one.
Come and join us in the game.
I promise it won’t be lame.

SLEEP

Sleep the slumber of kings.
Dream of playtime.
Move your paws in tune
With the melody in your mind.
Sleep safely, dear one.

THE KING

I sing my song on top of the branch.
I flitter and flutter to my heart’s content.
My feathers ruffle in the slight breeze.
I am king of the day.
All bow to me.
Until I fly away again.

BLOOD RED PETALS

A path of red drips down the wall.
A path created for me to find.
By one who returns for me,
Who returns from The Dead.
He had held me in his arms
And I’d nearly lost control.
Kisses had rained across my face
and mouth with mounting passion.
I’d been lost to this world,
Ready to depart for the next.
I’d been saved by flesh and blood
In the form of a beautiful man.
But now the one is back for me
After so many years.
He leaves trails of petals
For me to follow.
Blood red petals.
As red as his eyes.
Do I dare?
How could I not?

A BOOK

Open a book for me.
Just wait and you will see.
Life opens its door.
So much to explore.
Words ring out so true.
In colors like blue.
You will never know
If you let it go.

LOST IN THE PARK

I am lost in the park.
Footsteps squish in the dark.
I fear the dark night.
The moon at its height.
I’m soaked to the bone.
I lost my cell phone.
He is coming near.
Footfalls I can hear.
I hide behind a willow tree.
You can’t imagine what I see.

WORLD IN MY HANDS

I hold the world in my hands.
Adventures to be explored.
Places to be visited.
Heavens to behold.
I hold life in my hands.
