Sweet like candy.
I want you handy.
Lie next to me at night.
Succumb without a fight.
A vampire’s delight.
Please be my guiding light.

LIVING
Seek and you shall find
what the mind may hide.
Follow the soft sighs
to where the bird flies.
Dig deeper into your dream
as you float with the stream.
Time will never end
nor will it ever bend.
Enjoy the here and now
as I give my last bow.

Why do we love vampire books?
Is it the blood and gore or hot romance?
I read them because no one is dead forever.
Even after vanquished, a vampire can return.
If only life worked this way.
PREY FOR THE DEAD
The music drums to the beat
of the sound of marching feet.
Crimson waves hit the shore,
seeking both rich and poor.
A red blanket covers the town
as The Dead descend with a frown.
THE DEAD GAME
Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished & frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.
Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead & gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far & wide.

Follow the lights to the house of glass,
There will be much splendor in the grass.
A more decadent event there could not be,
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.
THE DEAD GAME
Oasis vampires own the night.
Now they can walk in the sunlight.
Among the tourists, they frolic
in scenery that’s bucolic.
Don’t turn your head,
one might be in your bed.
PREY FOR THE DEAD
Round and round we must go.
Our fantasies take us higher.
Will we meet friend or foe?
Take the ride and face the fire.
THE DEAD GAME
I reach for it.
I clench my fist.
I can’t grasp it.
It flows through my fingers.
It can’t be stopped.
I drop my hand,
and bow my head to it.
I will fight.
Fight the hunters.
Fight to the death.
I will ride proud and free.
Free as the wind.
I will not be ridden.
Man will not tame me.
I was born free.
I will die free.
Love me tender.
Love me sweet. Love me forever. I feel the heat. THE DEAD GAME SERIESConfused I may be,
Darkness comes too soon beneath the full moon.
A battle brews in the city.
On William, should I take pity?
An original vampire who has lost his way.
Is he a demon getting ready to play?
