RED

red rose petals

Red is the sun’s last ray
as it sets for the day.
Red is my vision as
I watch you play.
Red is the desire
I feel for you each day.
Red is your blood now
flowing through my veins.

A BUD

A bud so sweet,
Enticing treat.
It throws off heat,
Dance to its beat.

Its scent draws me near,
Still not feeling fear.
It soon becomes clear,
I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,
Near my face big and round.
I quickly hit the ground,
Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,
And I’m not hurting.
The sun is shining,
My bud is smiling.

BLOOD RED

Source:dolcemania

Blood red rose.
Petals open to the sun.
Don’t shy away from me.
Don’t turn your face.
I’m here to receive your love.
Your compassion.
Your petals are closing.
Dew is dripping,
And I am leaving.

A Two-Faced Wonder

Two Faced

Beautiful rose.
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns.
Bright in the sunshine.
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.

ROSE PETALS

My tears fall like rose petals,
dripping down their long stem.
No hope left in my heart
for us to be together again.
I lay my head down in sorrow
beside the wilted petals of my despair.

LET IT BLOOM

LET IT BLOOM
Watch the rose bloom.
It’s not too soon.
The lovely smell.
It rings my bell.
The pink color.
Like no other.
Face to the sun.
Ready for fun.
Velvet to the touch.
I love it so much.
I’m ready for spring.
To hear the birds sing.
I’m eager for the first bloom.
Definitely not too soon.
Let it bloom.

My Battered Heart

rose wilted
Source: dolcemania

My Battered Heart
The rose drifts to the ground,
Petals dry and wilting in the cold breeze.
A death resembling the demise of my heart
As an unraveling of feelings turns to dust.
A shoe grinds the rose petals to oblivion,
The preferred state of my battered heart.
The wind lifts the remnants of the flower
to circle around me with its dying breath.

TWO HEARTS

I picked a rose just for you.
A symbol of me and you.
Soft as the petals are your skin.
As precious as the pistol within.
It rises to meet the sun’s face.
No one can ever take its place.
Open and spread your leaves apart.
I can feel the beat of your heart.
Two hearts joined as one.
My job is now done.

STAND STRONG

Stand strong for me.
Your petals closed tight.
Face to the sun.
Hope in your heart.
Release your sweetness.
The perfect fragrance.
Let the dew quench your thirst.
The rain wash your tears.
Stand strong for me.

CHANTING IN THE BREEZE

Chanting could be heard in the warm breeze. A breeze that blows in from the ocean and smooths the white sand. A breeze that feels like the soft flutter of a rose petal against your skin. Where is the chanting coming from? Who is doing the chanting? What do we only hear it at night? Are spells being cast in Oasis? Only The Dead know and they’re not talking. Feeling like the soft flutter of
a rose petal against your skin.
The sea breeze carries chanting.

THE SNOW IS BLACK

No automatic alt text available.

A town where the snow is black,
bringing coldness and fear.
Old remnants of tears held back,
and times too hard to bear.
Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.
Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead and gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far and wide.
Who will fall prey to The Dead?
I hope it is not me.
I’m hiding under my bed.
I’m afraid as I can be.

ROSE BUD

A BudA

A bud so sweet,
It can’t be beat.
Throwing off heat,
Enticing treat.

Near my face big and round.

My bud is smiling.
