SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS

Follow the lights to the house of glass,
There will be much splendor in the grass.
A more decadent event there could not be,
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.
THE DEAD GAME

LIFE IS A CAROUSEL

Round and round we must go.
Our fantasies take us higher.
Will we meet friend or foe?
Take the ride and face the fire.

MOONLIT FOREST

Walk with me
through the moonlit forest,
Our feet graze the blades of grass,
Held aloft by our love and passion.
Follow me through the endless night
To a land where no man walks.
Only creatures dark as the sky
Dare to venture forth alone.
Love has no bounds or shackles.
We will be free to display our passion,
Without fear from humanity,
As long as you belong to me.
Come with me, my ice princess.
Step away from the burning plains,
Where the heat burns your flesh,
And love is hampered by the living.
Wolf extends his hand toward me,
Words flowing from him,
His lips never uttering a sound,
But his meaning is clear.
We can be together,
But the other has followed us.
He will try to take me back
And never relinquish his hold.
His eyes burn red with passion.
Fire follows his footsteps,
Scorching a trail through the grass,
Melting his enemy’s cold trail.
They face each other.
Hot and cold from opposite poles,
Dueling until the end of time,
Fighting for me.

A PERFECT OASIS

A perfect oasis on the shore.
You could not ask for anything more.
Sun and surf during the day,
But at night there’s hell to pay.
The waves welcome daily swimmers,
But at night there are no winners.
Afraid to venture out after dark,
Residents stay clear of the town park.
One night, a hanging party was had
By the dark creatures who are plain bad.
Our town is plagued by darkness and woe.
We don’t even know who is our foe.

WHERE HAVE THE TOURISTS GONE?

Where has all the sunshine gone?
Gone hiding.
Where have all the vampires gone?
Gone dancing.
Where have all the tourists gone?
Dead and gone.
THE DEAD GAME

THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE

A gingerbread house so quaint,
Disguised with colorful paint.
An evil group lives here,
And our town is so near.
They are Watchers for The Dead.
I’m afraid to go to bed.
Come & take a quick look
Or you can read my book.

FROM THE DEEP

I come from the deep sea.
I come only for thee.
There is nowhere I’d rather be
but with you
by the dark blue sea.
PREY FOR THE DEAD

DARK PETALS

Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.
Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead & gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far & wide.
PREY FOR THE DEAD

THE DARK HOUSE

Dare to peek inside.
You may be surprised
about what we hide.
We will convene
in the main hall.
You will find out
what scares us all.

SNOW IS FALLING

Snow is falling on the trees,
hanging tight to the cold leaves.
A winter wonderland in the south.
I gaze ahead and open my mouth.
A bitter taste fills my heart & soul
as I plunge into the rabbit hole.

BLOOD MOON

Blood Moon
Source: 021c

Red reflects on the water

what we feel in our hearts.

As the day comes to an end,

we must face the night.

Turn not your face away.

Dare not take a step back.

Bear the brunt of the red moon

as it burns through your empty soul.

THE DANGER HAS HIT HOME

waterfall-1031616_1920

The earth weeps tears
to fill an ocean.

As oceans fill with waste,
no one takes notice.

As icebergs melt and crumble,
no one stops to listen.

But once a deadly virus appears,
the world wakes in an uproar.

The danger has hit home.

MY PATH SO NARROW

Translucent green
Source: duxuebing

I stroll through the fallen leaves,

a translucent green beneath my feet.

Red branches bring me shade,

protecting me from the harsh sun.

I walk alone through the silent forest,

no one to bring me pain or sorrow.

Alone is what I desire most

as I follow my path so narrow.
