In awe of the human race.

It makes my heart race.

I cannot see far.

But I know what is right here.

It’s not far from here.

Heaven covers us.

Protects above and below.

To it, I must go.

Goodbye to my friends.

Time has come to abrupt end.

I shine for each friend.

A MIND'S EYE

A MIND’S EYE

Mesmerizing.
Enticing.
The eye holds secrets.
Mysteries.
Flashing colors.
Streaming lights.
Across a black emptiness.
A universe of knowledge.
A universe to behold.

RESPECT OUR ELDERS

The wonder.
The awe.
The majesty
of nature.
We are mere specks
on the surface of life.
Mere dots on the
timeline of eternity.
We should know our place.
And respect our elders.

MOTION

Motion.
The world is in motion.
Nothing stays still for long.
Life is in a constant
flux of change,
for better,
or for worse.
We can’t stop it.
We can’t slow it down.
We must ride with it.
And see where it takes us.
Each one of us has our
own journey to follow.
Where it will lead,
no one can tell us.
It has a beginning and an end.
But the middle is the unknown entity.
Something we must create
for ourselves.
Might as well enjoy the ride
for as long as it lasts.

Are we all alone
in this universe?

Other life forms
on planets far away.
Looking out at their sky
and asking the same question:

THE MOON TAKES THE DAY

What if one day, the moon refuses
to remain in second place?
What if it gets tired of the sun?
The sun owning the day.
The sun lifting people’s spirits.
Giving warmth to the planet.
Having its face reflected in the ocean.
The moon might rise up,
and take control of the day.
But would it look strange?
Would it glow like the sun?
Would it give warmth?
No.
The moon should remain where it belongs,
as the shadow of the night.
Its assigned place in the universe.

NATURE'S WILL BE DONE

We fight nature’s will.
Ride its mighty waves.
Dig up its natural resources.
Cut down its plentiful trees.
Pollute its clear waters.
But will we ever have total control?
Make it bow to our will.
Never.
Nature can never be tamed
or controlled.
It will remain strong,
long after we’re gone.

THE VIEW FROM ABOVE

The view from above.
People appear small,
tiny specks in the universe.
Cars are in constant motion.
Everyone is in a hurry,
going around in endless circles.
Going to work, and later
going back home.
Taking elevators up
and then down again.
What’s the hurry?
We all live the same lives.
We live and then we die.
Does it matter where we had
hurried around in between?
All that matters are
who we leave behind.
For these are the only
ones who will remember
that we had been here.
And why we had been here.

NATURE’S BOUNTY

A flower so beautiful reveals
nature’s proud purpose.
It brings beauty and joy
to our lives.
We must open our hearts and minds
to appreciate its powerful message.

ONE WITH HUMANITY

Compassion can be felt.
Nature responds to it.
Animals can sense it.
It can draw people to you like
a moth to a flame.
It is responsible for miracles.
It shows mercy without bias.
It should be freely given
to all of humanity.
No matter the color, species,
or race.
For we are one.
One with nature.
One with the universe.
One with humanity.

LIMTED ACCESS

Our view of the world is limited
to what our minds
can see and understand.
As we look out at the world
with our human eyes,
it’s as if we’re looking through
a small and narrow keyhole.
A keyhole that lets in only
select sights and sounds.
We should not be so comfortable
and arrogant with our lives,
for we are just specks in the universe.
Specks that are allowed only limited access.

LIFE ON EARTH

Was there life on earth before us?
Will there be life after we’re gone?
Who is running the show?
Is there a boss behind it all?
If there is, then he or she is
keeping his secrets very close.
No one has figured it out yet.
Maybe we never will.

What if we were smaller than birds?
If we were smaller than all other animals?
Would we be so dominating over nature?
Would we be kings of the universe?
Look what happened to the dinosaurs.
What did happen to them?

WONDERLAND

Do we have doppelgangers that
look like us?
Is it a parallel universe or is it

So many possibilities.
Too many unknowns.

CREATION

Which picture do you like best?
The snow?
The autumn?
Or all the above?
Our brains can create
many pictures in our minds.
We just have to us it well.
