LET THE WALLS CRUMBLE

2016

Let the walls crumble.
The paint flake and peel
I need to get out
from this prison of mine.
My fingers are torn.
Nails are shredded.
But I must destroy
this wall around me.
No one can understand
my fear, my panic.
No one can help me
escape my demons.
This I must do alone.
Brick by brick,
the wall will fall.
A glimpse of outside
is all I need.
The sky appears,
clouds floating by.
The sun peeks in,
not to be left out.
I’m ready to be free.
To fly from my captors.
First, my head,
then my body.
I’m outside on the ledge,
balanced over the city.
I’m free to let go
and soar over cars
and people.
Join the tiny dots below.
Time to fly.

THE WALLS

whitesoulblackheart: Come for you by Glen Parry

THE WALLS
What lives in the walls of this place?
Come on–I want to see its face.
Does it look like you and me?
That would be a sight to see.
It might look like a little kid.
It might just be, I dare not fib.
Let’s leave now before it’s too late.
And the walls attack us with hate.
I’m beginning to see arms and legs.
There are bodies hanging on those pegs.
End House has come alive with The Dead.
I’m afraid we have made our death bed.

THE GATES

whitechapelwitch:
>>x<<

Hidden fears.
Hidden desires.
They ring loud and true.
Deep within the gates,
Within the walls of the old house,
Lies remnants of the past.
Haunting thoughts.
Haunting feelings.
Trapped inside.
Don’t let them out.

HELL ON EARTH

HELL ON EARTH

The creature in the wall.
No hell on earth to hold it.
Wanting to be free.
“Come save me.
I beseech thee.”
It cries to me.
“Please come near.
No one to fear.”
It pleads to me.
What to do?
What can I do?
The creature from hell.
Who calls to me.
Reaches for me.
“I’m coming for you.”
I walk near.
Without fear.
But I was tricked.
I’m now in the wall.
With the creature from hell.

EVIL ALWAYS FINDS A WAY

The castle’s walls look thick and sturdy.
Ready to withstand any attack.
Ready to protect its own.
But is it strong enough to block
evil from saturating its walls?
Evil can seep in from
the most unexpected sources.
It can take on different forms.
It can travel in one’s heart or soul.
It can disguise itself as love or mercy.
Evil knows no bounds,
for it will do anything to win.
You may strengthen your walls,
but evil always finds its way in.

A SAD HOUSE

seasons-in-hell:
TTT
A sad house.
It sits alone,
waiting for visitors.
Waiting for someone
to clean and fix it up.
A family would be preferable.
Even a family with a dog would
be better than the dead quiet.
It will continue to wait until its
shutters fall off and its roof sinks in.
As long as it has its four walls,
there will always be hope for better times.
If only walls could talk.

BREAK DOWN THE WALLS

We create our own cages.
We put up our own walls.
These walls can be as strong
and unyielding as a metal fence.
Beyond, we can see the light.
The light of freedom.
Break down those walls!
And be free!

AN ISLAND DRIFTING IN THE OCEAN

Each one of us is an island.
An island drifting in the ocean,
picking up debris along the way.
The debris of life and experiences.
Some of us become open islands,
welcoming and self-sufficient.
While others build walls around their plot of land,
becoming lost and finally deserted.
Which type of island are you becoming?

THE LOCKED DOOR

thedeadgameblog:
Unlock the door and enter the room.
Step inside and see what’s hidden.
The dark secrets of the house will be revealed.
They can’t remain hidden forever.
What lies behind the walls and beneath the floors
must be revealed to the light of day.
It’s up to you to let the secrets free.

CASTLE IN THE SKY

bluepueblo:
River Castle, Kunětice, Czech Republic
photo via besttravelphotos

Beautiful castle sitting alone,
overlooking the water.
Who lives there now?
Who lived there in the past?
Are there good memories or bad ones
within its walls?
Had there been dancing and parties
or darkness and sadness?
Most probably, there had been both.
The castle must have seen its share
of death and happy endings.
If these walls could talk, imagine
what secrets they could tell us.

A DARK CASTLE

A dark castle.
Imagine what stories
its walls could tell if
they could talk to us.
Stories of the families
who had lived there.
Are there ghosts lurking
inside these walls?
Spirits who have unfinished business.
Maybe we could see them roaming
the empty halls at night.
This what happens when you have
an over-active imagination.

THE CASTLE

My favorite!
A creepy castle.
What has happened behind its dreary walls?
What lives have been lived and lost?
What secrets have been hidden?
I can go on,
but you have your imagination
to continue the story.
The castle lives on.

THE DEAD GAME--DAY 50

She said, “I’ll go.” She didn’t know where she got her courage from, but she was tired of being controlled by the freak who owned this house.
She climbed the tower’s brick wall, using her hands and feet to push her body up the wall, brick by sharp brick. The farther up she climbed…the farther away the top of the tower seemed to be. She knew that this couldn’t be possible unless someone was playing tricks with their minds again—like with the water that had appeared.
She was almost at the top when she heard a booming sound coming from above. The gate that had been lying across the top was now crashing down to one side—the side she was hanging on to. While she held on tight, she closed her eyes and prayed. The gate bashed against her, but she still managed to keep her footing. She climbed back down before she got swatted like an ant against the wall.
“This must have been the master plan all along; that we all die in this house—one by one,” she yelled at Mike and David, who were both standing in the doorway with their mouths hanging open. Mike’s response was simply to turn around and stomp away. She was disgusted by this whole business and by Mike’s total lack of sympathy. He didn’t seem to be at all concerned that she’d almost been killed. She knew he wasn’t a real friend and couldn’t be relied upon in the future.
