THE BLUE

The blue sucks me in.
Velvet petals caress my face.
A buzzing bee whizzes past.
I’m inside the midnight blue darkness.
My head spins from its heady fragrance.
Lines of poetry beg to be written.
Will I yield to the blue darkness?
It’s a trap I cannot escape.

DARKEST SECRETS

thefearfan Deactivated
DEATH METAL 2012 A by MACKOUSKOSK

My closet holds memories.
It hides my deepest secrets.
It can be dark and dreary.
It can ooze life’s nectar.
I should close the door.
I should never look back.
But I can’t stop myself.
I need to see it once more.

OUR GAMES HAVE JUST BEGUN --- THE DEAD GAME --- PART 45

Do my eyes deceive me?
Can this be true?
A creature is stalking me
Through the dark streets of town.

Eyes black as night.
Cries as soft as the wind.
Sharp claws tapping a sad melody.
It draws closer to me still.

The mansion's gates yawn open for me.
My feet leave tracks in the mud.
Handprints where I fall in my haste.
Salty tears on the rocks.

The mansion waits in its dark glory
For the innocent and weary.
It sheds its shell like a caterpillar,
But no butterfly does it become.

The creature gains ground.
Stalking in its feline way.
Whiskers in the wind,
Leading its way to me.

One last stumble for me.
My knees graze the rocks.
My fingers climb the steps,
Digging deep into the dirt.

I turn one last time.
The dark one stands up.
Becoming taller and straighter.
On two feet it stands tall.

Its yellow eyes glimmer black.
No whiskers to follow my scent.
White skin for black fur.
Laughter falls from its lips.

He has come for me one last time.
He walks on muscled legs.
Sure and strong is his gait.
For no more does he crawl.

"Come to me!" he says.
"No more games for us to play."
His hand reaches for mine
As I wait for this game to end.

"I refuse to belong to you."
My voice shakes in despair.
I will not be a follower
Of The Dead and long gone.

The house swallows me whole.
I am hidden inside its walls.
A maze of rooms for shelter.
Darkness to shield me from harm.

BREAK DOWN THE WALLS

We create our own cages.
We put up our own walls.
These walls can be as strong
and unyielding as a metal fence.
Beyond, we can see the light.
The light of freedom.
Break down those walls!
And be free!

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 138

Linda and her friends were eavesdropping on the conversation taking place in the dimly lit room--upstairs at Diane's party.

Chapter 23
Todd stood up to confront Wolf. “Were you the one responsible for all the deaths and disappearances at End House?”
His deep voice resonated in the huge room. “We were chosen to protect the town and its innocents—not to destroy them!”
Wolf moved slowly forward to meet Todd’s gaze head-on. Hayden stood up to stand by his side.
“I’m stronger than all of you combined. Don’t ever threaten me, or you’ll be sorry. I know that you enjoy your innocents,” said Wolf with a cruel laugh—the same laugh that Todd had heard when he’d fled his house with Linda and Shana.
Todd thought of Linda, fearing that he wasn’t strong enough to protect her and her friends from such pure evil. It was important for him to keep his mind clear for the upcoming battle so he shifted his focus back to Wolf. “The townspeople know of The Dead. It’s not a well-kept secret any longer. It won’t be long before everyone knows about your evil group and your sick plans to destroy mankind. Are you their great leader?”
“I am the true leader of The Dead, since I am the strongest vampire in the world. Your vampires are weak, since you refuse to drink human blood. Animal blood has made your leaders timid like women. All of you will soon be extinct. The Dead will rise up proud and strong! We’ll finally take our rightful place and control the world!”
“We have many more followers than you do around the world. We are growing in number with no sign of ever dying out.”
“Most of those so-called followers of yours are now following me. Soon it will be all over for you!” Wolf shouted before disappearing.
Todd turned to Hayden. “Are you with him or with us?”
Hayden turned his back on him to march out of the room, giving Todd the answer that he’d suspected all along.

I'M SO CUTE

Okay, I’m trapped between a
hard wall and a soft place of leaves.
I know, I’ll put on my cute grin and the
humans will want to play with me.
Then I’ll figure out a way to escape.
Hi! I’m so cute aren’t I?

END HOUSE

artchipel:

END HOUSE

This picture perfectly represents the scene where the young

residents of Oasis entered End House for the first time.
The deserted house stood alone at the edge of a steep cliff overlooking the ocean. No one was there to greet them except absolute quiet and darkness. It was supposed to have been a surprise party for them, but there was no host to greet them. There were no other guests.
In the main hallway, a marble staircase faced them. Candles were lit on the staircase and along the house’s right hallway, daring them to venture farther into the house. The split up into two groups: the first group followed the candles downstairs; while the second group climbed the staircase to check out the upstairs.
What lay ahead for this group of friends? Will they make it out alive from this house? Who is the mysterious host who had planned this fake party? Will there be games for them to play? And if so, will these games be innocent or deadly?
Read “The Dead Game” by Susanne Leist to find these answers and much more.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 79

Todd and Sam ran from their cars as soon as they reached End House. They headed straight for the basement stairs.
Shana and Linda followed behind, gingerly groping the slippery basement wall to make their slow descent down the steep stairs. David sniffled behind them as he clomped down the steps.
Mike was close behind, describing the pool of water with the falling cages and swinging saws.
At the bottom, they stopped short in amazement. Instead of the horror scene that they’d witnessed yesterday, today they found an empty basement.
The basement appeared to be a great deal smaller than before, thought Mike. The opposite wall seemed to be much closer. It also lacked the wide staircase that had led up to the three huge doorways. And where were the doors? There was only a blank wall facing them. And the floor was dry—as if it had never been wet.
“Where are the wild animals and the deep pit into nothingness?”  Mike searched all four corners of the room, trying to locate the elaborate devices that had been used against them. He couldn’t believe how quickly everything had disappeared from sight. Where were the pointy cages and sharp saws? He looked up into the blackness above and could see only an empty ceiling with pipes. And where were Tom and Edward? All that were visible were pipes and a boiler—just like an ordinary basement.
Todd said, “We’ll figure this out…it’ll just take some time. This was a game that went wrong; we’ll track down the owner and make him sorry that he had ever arranged this travesty.”
