COLOR MY WORLD

Source:frenzy

Color my world in shades of pink,

so long as I don’t have to think.

Brush more color in strokes of blue,

so I don’t have to think of you.

Add a mist of dark green

until I’m ready to scream.

Throw more colors at me,

but I know what I’ll see.

The world fades to black

until you come back.

BLUE

coiour-my-world

Blue colors my vision

with perfect precision.

It coats the sky

as hawks fly by.

Color blankets the street

and each person you meet.

Blue mist fills the air

as shadows draw near.

The blue brings us close

to what we fear most.

COLOR MY WORLD

Color my world.
In shades of purple.
In hues of violet.
Cover the world
The good.
The bad.
The ugly.
In purple.

WE CRY

Source:

We cry for ourselves.
We cry in the night.
Tears roll down our cheeks.
Frowns cover our faces.
We stand together.
We cry for no one.
We cry for everyone.

PRAY FOR HUMANITY

Cry for your family.
Cry for peace.
Hold your head high
and hope for a better world.
Pray for mother earth.
Pray for humanity.

A WINDOW

A window to the world.
A window to beauty.
Snow-capped mountains.
Swan-filled lakes.
The pounding waves of the ocean.
Fields of flowers.
Adventure.
Romance.
Mystery.
Open your mind
to the possibilities.
Wake your senses.
Can you feel the sea breeze?
Can you smell the flowers?
Can you hear the seagulls’ cries?
Can you taste the salty air?
I can.

TOO OFTEN

TOO OFTEN

Too often, there are deaths.
Too often, there are murders.
Too often, we stop and stare.
Too often, people look away.
Sad, but true.
Human nature possesses an evil side,
which tempts us each day.
Its flipside offers us a way to achieve
purer thoughts and good deeds.
Which path will lead to a better world?
Too often, we make the wrong choice.

LAST TREE STANDING

I face the wind.
Each day I wait.
Time passes.
I wait for the world to change.
People come and go.
I cringe at the sounds of trees falling.
The cries of animals dying.
Monstrous structures replace the rolling hills.
Fewer trees dot the landscape.
Dirty water fills the ocean, rivers, and lakes.
Mankind has marked the world
in irreversible ways.
Stop before it’s too late.
I refuse to be the last tree standing.

TWISTING AND TURNING

Source:

The world twists and turns.
It squeezes us dry like sponges
until we have no strength to fight.
I can’t keep my eyes open any longer
and watch the mad parade of colors.
Hurricanes, poverty, violence, shootings.
Red will soon hide the greens and blues.
Madness will descend and replace the stars.
The moon will hide its face from the night.
The sun will no longer send its rays of warmth.
Mankind will be alone to fend off the darkness.
Twisting, turning, squeezing
until nothing remains of mankind.

NO LIMIT

There is no limit to
what you can create.
No end to
what you can inspire.
With a little thought
and imagination,
you can build a world.

COTTON BALLS IN THE SKY

Source:

From my small, bedroom window
I watch as the white clouds drift by,
Shadowing the world below.
Puffy cotton balls in the sky.

BRICK BY BRICK

THICK AIR

There are no limits to
what your mind can create.
No end to
what it can inspire.
With a little thought
and imagination
you can build the world.
