BLUE

coiour-my-world

Blue colors my vision

with perfect precision.

It coats the sky

as hawks fly by.

Color blankets the street

and each person you meet.

Blue mist fills the air

as shadows draw near.

The blue brings us close

to what we fear most.

WASH AWAY MY PAIN

Please wash away my sorrow and pain.
Let it flow down the streets with the rain.
Dissolved in torrents of despair and sadness,
Joining others on its way past the madness.
The ocean may take it far away
To places, we cannot even say,
Where no one recognizes its sting
Or knows the infliction it can bring.
Let the rain grow harder with its might,
Becoming hail on this fateful night.
I want to be free of all traces
Of unwanted feelings and faces.
My body grows cold from the rain.
It stands clean and free from the pain.
Shivers create a path on my spine
As I wait in the dark woods of pine.

I hold my head high to the wet spray;
It becomes a mist of blue and grey.
The faucet has turned off for the night,
Leaving me feeling clean and so right.

THE PERFECT MELODY

THE PERFECT MELODY The air is heavy. Clouds roll in. The sky grows dark. You hear the first drops. The water pounds on the roof. A staccato melody of its own. Pound, pound, pound. Tap, tap, tap. Rain washes our streets. Clears our minds. A new day...

THE PERFECT MELODY
The air is heavy.
Clouds roll in.
The sky grows dark.
You hear the first drops.
The water pounds on the roof
in a staccato melody of its own.
Pound, pound, pound.
Tap, tap, tap.
Rain washes our streets.
Clears our minds.
A new day arrives.

THE PERFECT MELODY

The air feels heavy.
Laden with moisture.
Clouds roll in.
The sky grows darker.
Then you hear the first drops.
The water pounding on the roof
in a staccato melody of its own.
Pound, pound, pound.
Tap, tap, tap.
The rain washes our streets
and clears our minds.
Preparing us for a new day.

NEW BEGINNINGS

The rain falls in a constant rhythm,
A soothing and mesmerizing sound.
Tree branches weigh down with water,
Dripping tears for the absent sun.
Flowers lift their faces for washing,
Soon shiny and crisp from the drops.
The sky clears and the clouds spin dry,
As the sun returns to herald its return.
A new day dawns around us,
New beginnings for our slice of paradise.

A DREAM

Water in waves of blue and green.
Nothing can be so clear and clean.
Sunshine beating down on my head.
I have made the soft sand my bed.
Palm trees fan the warm ocean air.
I can feel the breeze in my hair.
A place like this must exist.
A dream like this I can’t resist.

BLURRY

Blurry from the rain.
Fogging my window.
Pitter patter.
Rain drops falling.
I want to see sun.
I want the fog lifted.
I want to see clearly again.

A DROP OF WATER

A DROP OF WATER

A drop of water.
A drop of nature.
A drop of life.

Clear.
Yet complicated.
Light.
Yet detailed.

Hanging.
By a thread.
Enticing.
To the eye.

So is nature.
So is life.

A HEART SO PURE

A HEART SO PURE

Only a heart so pure
Can be so clear and sure
Of a life worth living
And a love worth giving.

Look up at the sky
And please do not cry
When you see my heart
Since we’ve grown apart.

I will always love you
And live my life for you.
Until the end of time
You will always be mine.

THE QUESTION

What is reality?
Do we see what is
actually around us?
Or is there a another reality?
A reality that we can’t see;
that we aren’t ready to see yet.
Will it ever come into focus?
Into a clarity that will reveal all.
The reason for our existence.
The reason for the world
as we know it.
Look closer.
Peer through the murkiness.
Find your own reality.

AFTER THE STORM

The winds have taken their victims.
Tree limbs are scattered across the grass.
A quiet descends upon the land.
Animals begin to peek out from
their hiding places.
Birds begin to chirp in unison,
happy to be free again.
The earth regenerates itself,
preparing for the new day.
Soon the sun will shine.
The clouds will clear.
And all will be right
with the world once more.

BRING INTO FOCUS

Sometimes things don’t feel clear
as I try to bring them into focus.
Everything is fuzzy in my mind.
I want life to have some structure,
some meaning, some reason for living.
Is there a bigger plan?
Am I seeing what I’m supposed to be seeing?
Is there a major plan that we’re supposed to be
following, instead of drifting along in space and time?
I hope so, as I try to bring life into clearer focus.

BEING INVISIBLE

Do you ever feel invisible?
That no one is listening to you
or remembers that you exist.
We all feel that way at times.
Just join the invisible crowd.

Can everyone see what we think
and what we do?

selves from others?
We are what we eat, think and do.

THE BUBBLE DILEMMA

The dilemma

What do you think is going through the dogs’ minds? Are they too afraid to move? Do they know that it is just a bubble? Do they want to touch it? Will they just stand there and wait. I think that they will wait and see. They will keep waiting until the balloon will pop in one of their faces. And if the same thing happens next week, they will most probably do the same thing.

WORK OF ART

blackoutraven:

WHAT’S IN A DROP OF WATER?
IT MAY LOOK CLEAR AND EMPTY,
BUT IT CARRIES
ORGANISMS OR ALGAE.
IT MIGHT LOOK SIMPLE BUT IT’S COMPLEX.
NONE OF NATURE’S CREATIONS SHOULD
EVER BE TAKEN FOR GRANTED.
EACH CREATION IS A UNIQUE
WORK OF ART OF ITS OWN.
