DREAMS COME TRUE

An oasis where dreams come true,
Palm trees wave in the warm breeze,
And birds sing a happy tune of their own.
The night exhales its cold breath.
Torrents of wind whip across the sand,
Where dark shadows leave no footprints,
And tourists remain innocent no more.

TIME TO PARTY

Source:
Time to party.
The Dead can dance.
They fill the nights with music.
Bodies cold to the touch.
Hollow to their empty souls.
Dance to a beat of their own.

FOLLOW THE CURIOUS

Cobblestone by cemetery

FOLLOW THE CURIOUS

The cobblestones glisten
under the moonlight.
Gravestones peek out
in the heavy fog.
Moans sweep the winds
that rustle the lifeless trees.
A gate stands open
to welcome the curious.
Footsteps draw closer
to my hiding place.
A cloaked figure enters
the home of the dead.
It disappears inside a mausoleum
with a lone angel standing guard.
Goosebumps riddle my body
as I inch forward from my spot.
I can’t stand the suspense.
I must find the meeting place
of the dead and gone.

FOLLOW THE LIGHTS

follow the lights

FOLLOW THE LIGHTS

Follow the lights to the house of glass.
There will be much splendor in the grass.
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.
A more decadent event there could not be.
Champagne will be flowing until the wee hours.
Come with me and dance among the pretty flowers.
This room full of guests gives me a chill.
Maybe we should leave I’ve had my fill.
Eyes are following us in the room.
They will be upon us all too soon.
The guests are not what they appear.
Beneath they are just bones and hair.

SHINE IN THE DARK

Wait for the night.
The moon’s fall.
The sun’s retreat.
The Dead’s time.
To bask in the shadows.
To shine in the dark.
From inside mausoleums.
From below the earth.
Shine for me.

RISE WITH THE MOON

Roses grow between the graves.
Curling their fingers around the stones.
Waiting for the evil ones to rise.
From dungeons beneath the earth.
Where they’ve been banished.
For the games they’ve played.
On the living they’ve blooded.
Rise with the moon.
Come with the night.
Take hold of our stems.
Blood red we’ve become.

HOUSE OF HORRORS

A creepy room in
a house of horrors.
A maze of traps
and skeletons.
A house alive
with evil spirits.
Why did we come?
How do we get out?

ONLY THE DEAD KNOW

We might look human
but we’re not.
We might act human
but we love to kill.
Our fearless leader
shows no mercy.
Who is he?
Will he show his face?

Only The Dead know.

WE'RE HERE

WE’RE HERE

A walk through the cemetery.
Darkness is my friend.
The moon my buddy.
The stars keep me company.

"Who goes there?"
I hear in the distance.
Is that the night watchman?
Has he seen somebody?

Should I continue walking?
All is quiet.
The mist is moving.
It’s parting and I can see—

What is that?
Skeletons are popping up from graves.
And I can hear music.
They are dancing to the beat.

Dancing in a cemetery.
Who knew a cemetery
could be such fun?

SO HAPPY TOGETHER

A beautiful couple.
So happy together.
Fun times.
Sad times.
Good memories.
Unhappy losses.
New house.
Children.
Grandchildren.
Parties.
Funerals.
So happy together in life.
So happy together in death.

THE DEAD'S PLAYGROUND

THE DEAD’S PLAYGROUND
The Dead have taken over the playground,
where children had once played and frolicked.
The Dead wander
past the still swings
and empty slides.
Echoes of voices drift in the air.
Will the children ever return?
Will The Dead ever leave the town?
Only The Dead know.
