TURNED TO STONE

enyaja:

TURNED TO STONE

I have turned to stone.

I’m chilled to the bone.

The coldness is spreading.

Where can this be heading?

Please help me.

You can see.

Life is at its end.

I can’t even bend.

Who’s my deadly foe?

I still need to know.

Leave me be.

You shouldn’t see

What I’ve become.

Leave and be gone.

DEAR STATUE

DEAR STATUE

So alive.
I could hear you breathing.
Is that a moan?
Maybe it was the wind.
Is that a rustle of clothing?
Maybe someone else is in the garden.
Is that a sigh?
I heard a sigh.
Are you tired of standing still?
Is that a tear on your cheek?
Your eyes look sad.
Reflecting a remorse so deep
that I can feel it.
What else do I feel?
A whisper of breath on my face.
Are you breathing, dear one?
Are you alive beneath the stone?
Raise your head.
Look me in the eye.
It’s time to be free.
Let your soul be free
and soar above on your wings.
Take flight, dear one.
Take flight.

MOTION

MOTION

IMG_6841-MOTION

Motion.
The world is in motion.
Nothing stays still for long.
Life is in a constant
flux of change,
for better,
or for worse.
We can’t stop it.
We can’t slow it down.
We must ride with it.
And see where it takes us.
Each one of us has our
own journey to follow.
Where it will lead,
no one can tell us.
It has a beginning and an end.
But the middle is the unknown entity.
Something we must create
for ourselves.
Might as well enjoy the ride
for as long as it lasts.

HIS PLACE

The sun begins to set.
There are scurrying sounds
as the animals prepare for the night.
But the old elephant stands in his place.
He doesn’t need to move.
He has everything he needs
right in front of him.
He keeps a watchful eye
on the other animals.
But he stands in his place.

SLOW DOWN YOU MOVE TOO FAST

Life moves too fast.
People rushing back and forth.
Where are they going?
Do they ever reach their destinations?
Rushing and rushing everyday.
Everything becomes a blur.
The faces and lights flash by too quickly.
Stop!
I need to breathe!
What happened to living and enjoying life?
When does that happen?
After we’re dead and buried.
Then we slow down to a stand still.

PERFECT FOR TWO

A perfect setting.
Two boats for two rowers
to row across the still water.
I could almost feel the sun on my face,
and hear the birds chirping.
Time like this is precious,
and should be savored.
We just have to find the time.

IF TIME STOOD STILL

What if time stood still?
We wouldn’t get older.
We would look the same forever.
Would we be bored with life after awhile?
Would be less in a hurry to get things accomplished?
There would be no reason to do things right away.
We would just put off what we could do today for tomorrow.
Then tomorrow, we would procrastinate for the next day.
Let the clock move ahead.
It would be awful to be stuck in time.

WORK OF ART

WORK OF ART

amischiefofmice: a-fart-has-no-nose: HOLY SHIT. march of the noot noots The snails are gorgeous. They are a work of art—a work of nature. Nature has given them the perfect colors for camouflage. I could sit a whole day and watch them. It’s important to take time to enjoy nature and its beautiful creations.

THE BUBBLE DILEMMA

The dilemma

What do you think is going through the dogs’ minds? Are they too afraid to move? Do they know that it is just a bubble? Do they want to touch it? Will they just stand there and wait. I think that they will wait and see. They will keep waiting until the balloon will pop in one of their faces. And if the same thing happens next week, they will most probably do the same thing.

What do you think is going through the dogs’ minds?
Are they too afraid to move?
Do they know that it is just a bubble?
Do they want to touch it?
Will they just stand there and wait.
I think that they will wait and see.
They will keep waiting until the balloon
pops in one of their faces.
And if the same thing happens next week,
they will most probably do the same thing.
