TAUNTING

Your reflection taunts you
In shades of green and black.
Your thoughts and actions
From you and right back.

COLORS

digitalfrontiers

Forest so lush green.
A sight to be seen.
Colors to brighten life
without a bit of strife.
This is the place for me,
where I can be free.
Pink and yellow flowers fill the day.
Nowhere prettier I want to stay.

IT’S THE SEASON

IT’S THE SEASON
The petals fall fast and furious.
The bare trees watch the fallen.
Limbs shivering in the coming cold.
Pink tears of surrender coat the ground.
As seasons come and go.
Yearning for their lost children.
They lift scraggly arms to the sky.
Prayers will soon be answered,
As seasons come and go.
Coats of white land on their branches.
Night falling all too soon.
Shivers dislodge the packed ice.
Leaving them bare once again.
They lift weary eyes to the sky.
As seasons come and go.
A warm wind caresses their arms.
Eyes open to sprouting buds.
Green and pink sweaters for spring.
Their children have returned.
As seasons come and go.

COLOR MY WORLD

Source:

Color my world in shades of pink,
so long as I don’t have to think.
Brush more color in strokes of blue,
so I don’t have to think of you.
Add a mist of dark green
until I’m ready to scream.
Throw more colors at me,
but I know what I’ll see.
A world faded to black
until I get you back.

FEEL THE GREEN

FEEL THE GREEN

A seat on a bench is what I seek,
But a veil of green taunts for a peek.
It pulls me deeper into the maze.
I follow in a dark kind of daze.
Squawks and shrieks call to me
As I try to break free.
Branches wrap tight around my neck.
On my cheek, I feel a light peck.
I look up to eyes so blue and true.
I cannot believe it’s only you.
I’m in my bed safe and sound
With no horror to be found.

IN THE GREEN

Green grows deep in the forest,
slithering up the tall trees,
digging holes in the brown earth.
The earth rumbles and quakes,
yearning to free itself
from the shackles of green
tethered to its arms and legs.
Soon all is slathered in the lime color
as a green mist gathers and circles.

A DREAM

Water in waves of blue and green.
Nothing can be so clear and clean.
Sunshine beating down on my head.
I have made the soft sand my bed.
Palm trees fan the warm ocean air.
I can feel the breeze in my hair.
A place like this must exist.
A dream like this I can’t resist.

HIDDEN

myblogaboutanimals Deactivated

I am hiding being green.
On this leaf, I won’t be seen.

Feet sliding in the dew.
Orange eyes watching you.

I bet you can’t spot me.
I am one with this tree.

QUICKSAND

Let’s travel through the forest so green.
A creature-filled oasis but don’t scream.
The roots tangle around our feet.
Walking becomes a scary feat.
Neon leaves hit our faces.
A hit every few paces.
I’m sinking deep into the forest floor.
Quicksand my enemy forever more.

A CANOPY

A BEDROOM
The sun peeks through
a canopy of leaves.
A blanket of flowers
covers and protects me.
They shelter me with
their petals of pink.
Sheets of softest green
touch my skin.
The perfect spot for the weary.

TROPICAL PARADISE

We fly on a green carpet

Mosquitoes for companions
in the moisture-laden air.
Exotic plants fan our faces
as we trek down winding paths.
Snapping sounds taunt us
as we canoe down the river.
The tempo quickens.
The beat picks up.
The air becomes heavier.
The sounds louder.
We become one with nature.
Lost in a tropical paradise.

THE PICTURE

Art comes alive with the artist’s stroke.
It bounces from the white page
in alternating shades of the rainbow.
The green eyes entice and ensnare.
The fur flows and ebbs in blues and pink.
It has stepped out from the mere page
to come alive for me and you.

A GREEN GLOW

Source:

A light shines in.
All are asleep.
Green glow creeps in.
I hear him weep.

Beep in my head.
No one hears it.
Enough is said.
I can’t bear it.

Vibrates in my ears.
But this cannot be.
Bringing me to tears.
A phone call for me.
