WASH AWAY MY PAIN

Please wash away my sorrow and pain.
Let them flow down the streets with the rain,
Dissolved in torrents of despair and sadness,
Joining others on their way past the madness.

The ocean may take them far away,
To places, we cannot even say,
Where no one recognizes their sting
Or knows the infliction they can bring.

Let the rain grow harder with its might,
Becoming hail on this fateful night.
I want to be free of all traces
Of unwanted feelings and faces.

My body grows cold from the rain.
I stand clean and free from the pain.
Shivers create a path down my spine
As I wait in the dark woods of pine.

I hold my head high to the wet spray.

It becomes a mist of blue and gray.
The faucet has been turned off for the night,
Leaving me feeling clean and all so right.

WASH AWAY MY SORROW

Wash away my sorrow and pain.

Let it flow the streets with the rain.

The ocean takes it far away

To places, we cannot say.

Where no one can feel its sharpened sting

Or know the infliction it may bring.

Let the rain grow harder with might,

Hailing on this dark, fateful night.

I want to be free of all traces

Of unwanted feelings and faces.

My body grows cold from the rain,

Standing clean and free from the pain.

I hold my head high to the wet spray

as it turns into a mist of gray.

Once the faucet has shut for the night,

I’m left at peace with the coming light.

TIMES HARD TO BEAR

A town where the snow is black,

bringing coldness & fear.

Old remnants of tears held back

& times too hard to bear.

Woven from black sheets of rain,

fear covers in disarray.

Anguished & frozen with pain,

dark petals fall in dismay.

BREAK FREE

TRAPPED
Trapped in my body.
Trapped with my insecurities.
Can I break free?
It will be painful.
I will break the walls.
I can do it.
I will do it.
Goodbye to doubters.
Hello to the new me.

WHEREVER YOU ARE

Wherever you are,
Know that I’m with you.
My thoughts follow you.
I feel your pain
and relish in your joys.
I visit your dreams.
I’m beside you when you wake.
My spirit will keep you warm.
My arms will comfort you
in the dark days ahead.
Wherever you are,
I’ll be there.

LOST IN THE STORM

pale-womannSource:

The storm approaches the shore.
Dampness coats the air.
Mist sprays against my face.
Strands of hair fly in the wind.
Thunder rumbles in the distance.
I feel it.
It’s almost here.
Will I lose myself to it?
Let it take me to its depths.
I spread my arms,
Lift my head high.
I let myself fall.
Arms pull me under.
Lips reach for mine.
I’m lost for eternity,
Lost to the rushing wind,
Prisoner of the ultimate despair,
Partner in pain and sorrow.
The choice is made and done.
I float away with my dear one.
Together we will forge a path
Through darkness and hell
To a heavenly place beyond.

TWISTING AND TURNING

Source:

The world twists and turns.
It squeezes us dry like sponges
until we have no strength to fight.
I can’t keep my eyes open any longer
and watch the mad parade of colors.
Hurricanes, poverty, violence, shootings.
Red will soon hide the greens and blues.
Madness will descend and replace the stars.
The moon will hide its face from the night.
The sun will no longer send its rays of warmth.
Mankind will be alone to fend off the darkness.
Twisting, turning, squeezing
until nothing remains of mankind.

BRING THE PAIN

Source:

The sun hides its head
While the waves rage on.
The clouds turn away
While blood rushes on.
The moon shies away
While the tide meets rock.
Faces hide in vain
While the seas bring the pain.

THE DEPTHS OF DESPAIR

Anguish is my sole friend.
Tentacles wrap me close
with its wiry arms of despair.
The day holds no easement for my pain.
The sun shines too bright from its tall pedestal.
The night brings forth the proud moon
that rides the sky with its chariot of horses.
Its glow lights the hearts of the forgotten.
Its reflection soothes the troubled soul.
One more minute before I join the others.
The ones who search for the white reflection
in the cold depths below.

THE DEAD WALKING

1 The tides

A town where the snow is black,
bringing coldness and fear.
Old remnants of tears held back,
and times too hard to bear.
Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.
Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead and gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far and wide.
Who will fall prey to The Dead?
I hope it is not me.
I’m hiding under my bed.
I’m afraid as I can be.
