WE CRY

Source:

We cry for ourselves.
We cry in the night.
Tears roll down our cheeks.
Frowns cover our faces.
We stand together.
We cry for no one.
We cry for everyone.

PRAY FOR HUMANITY

Cry for your family.
Cry for peace.
Hold your head high
and hope for a better world.
Pray for mother earth.
Pray for humanity.

DARKNESS

horror
Can you see it?
Can you feel it?
It waits in the shadows
For the perfect moment.
When the moon rides high,
It makes its entrance.
A cry is heard.
A soft whimper.
Then it’s gone
Until tomorrow night.

THE JOURNEY

The mist follows close at my heels,
Relentless in its pursuit.
Roots poke through the ground.
Tree limbs grab at me.
The fog clears.
The forest ends.
I’ve reached the clearing.
He waits for me.
A black stallion is his ride.
I grab his extended arm.
He lifts me behind him.
We ride like the wind.
I sigh and turn my head.
A scream is lodged in my throat.
His face isn’t of my loved one
but a mask of death.
We ride like the wind
to the ends of the earth.
Hell’s gates shut behind us.
No one is knocking on its doors.

I CRY ALONE IN THE NIGHT

I cry alone in the dark of night.
The sun refuses to share the light.
Lit by a fire from within.
Moonlight hits me like a sharp pin.
I grow paler by the day.
In this world, I cannot stay.
Without light, I will die.
My white petals will fly.
I’m left to be a thin stick
As I grow tired and sick.

ARE WE ALONE?

silenceforthesoul Deactivated
Carl Gustav Carus (1789-1869) – Faust’s Dream

ARE WE ALONE?
Are we truly alone?
Friends and family.
Are they with us?
Beside us every day?
I can feel them.
A thickness in the air.
A soft touch.
A slight breeze.
Is my brother gone?
Or is he with me?
I believe he is.
He chuckles at my blunders.
He laughs at my jokes.
He cries when I’m hurt.
Yes, he is with me.
Always.
Forever.

Another night in Oasis

The clouds drift by.
The moon casts its glare.
Time moves in slow motion.
Florida weaves its spell.
The town is asleep.
There’s a rustle in the trees.

Florida weaves its spell.
The town is asleep.
There’s a rustle in the trees.
A cry in the night.
A hint of evil.
A whisper of things to come.
A body left on shore.
Will there be more?
Another night in Oasis, Florida.

THE SEARCH

Source:

THE SEARCH
In the quiet summer night,
Light shining from a great height,
A search until morning light.
We hold strong with all our might
That we find what we’re searching for,
Before night ends and shuts the door.
We need to find her before it’s too late.
We refuse to leave this up to mere fate.
A shout, a cry is heard in the dark.
It must be her alone in the park.
The light shines on her pretty face.
She sees us and picks up her pace.
She is crying and laughing at the same time.
A perfect ending to this story of mine.

THE POINT OF NO RETURN

Down the rabbit hole we go.
Far down beneath the earth’s surface.
Where The Dead wait for their savior.
Arms extended.
Reaching for us.
Mouths held open in silent cries.
As we fall farther.
Deeper.
Past the point of no return.

THE LIGHT

A distant light beckons to me.
It seems to be moving closer.
I can hear its moaning cry.
What can it be?
Come with me into the woods
And we will find out together.
