WELCOME THE NIGHT

Welcome the night
And its friend, the moon.
Don’t take flight
From the man on the moon.

Let the moon take over,
From the sun’s bright reign.
Let the sun take cover,
Without hesitation or pain.

A thick blanket will fall,
Covering the earth with security.
Darkness will cover all
With its grace and purity.

The stars will twinkle and shine.
For the sun, do not pine.
It will return tomorrow morning,
With no need for any worrying.

SHINE IN THE NIGHT

 

The night grows heavy.

It grows dark.

We look to the moon

to bask in its glow.

A halo of blue

falls to earth.

Blue against orange

to shine in the night.

THE DANGER HAS HIT HOME

The earth weeps tears

to fill an ocean.

As oceans fill with waste,

no one takes notice.

As icebergs melt and crumble,

no one stops to listen.

But once a deadly virus appears,

the world wakes in an uproar.

The danger has hit home.

THE MIGHTY WILL FALL

The mighty will fall

that had risen tall.

Melting to the sea

where no one can see

the majesty of your height

or the last breath of your fight.

Please do not leave us now.

Don’t take your final bow.

The earth is a sadder place

without your glowing, white face.

MOTHER NATURE

Nature takes its path,

removing the trash.

Enough humans for now.

So, take a final bow.

Let Mother Nature work to restore

the earth to what it was before.

AS WE HEAL

Stay in your home.

No reason to roam.

I know how you feel

but let the earth heal.
