MOTHER NATURE

red ocean

Nature takes its path,
removing the trash.
Enough humans for now.
So, take a final bow.
Let Mother Nature work to restore
the earth to what it was before.

I WILL SURVIVE

Water surrounds me.
Icy water.
I’m pulled deeper.
Waves drag me
from the shore.
I swim.
I tread water.
My head above the water,
I will survive.

I WILL SURVIVE

Icy water surrounds me.
The cold pulls me deeper.
Deeper into the unknown,
I sink.
Waves tear at me,
dragging me far from shore.
I swim.
I tread water.
I hold my head high
Above water.
I will survive.

SOAK ME

Source:
Hit me.
Strike me.
I will carry on.
Soak me.
Shake me.
I will carry on.
Sink me.
Drown me.
I’ll still be here.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

What do we need?
Perhaps, a stream of water.
Some mountains.
Sunshine.
Flowers.
Birds chirping.
We require little
to survive.
Yet the world provides us
with so much more.

ALONE

Alone can be refreshing,
A walk in the cold snow.
Lonely can be depressing,
A silence that hits you low.

Can we distinguish between the two,
As we listen to our heart’s song?
Our time alone is so rare and few,
Refreshing until it feels wrong.

At this moment I feel alive,
Alone but not lonely in my own place.
My dark spirit yearns to survive,
As I raise my happy face.

THE BOOK

Please take a closer look.
Something’s wrong with this book.
The words have come alive,
Breaking free to survive.
Words need to be loved and shared
And not forced alone and scared.
Let the stories come out and play.
They will serve to brighten your day.

I WILL SURVIVE

Water surrounds me.
On all sides.
Ice cold water.
Like a hand from below.
Pulling me deeper.
Deeper into the unknown.
I must hold on.
Hold onto life.
Waves pushing me.
Farther from the shore.
I will swim.
I will tread water.
I will keep my head high.
Above the water.
I will survive.

A LONG HARD ROAD

tumblr_n7dyjasZdU1renu7bo1_500

If I had known it was going to be so hard,
Involving computer skills to the extreme,
I might have thought twice about it,
Thought twice about writing my book.
Writers must write each and every day.
We must promote our books daily.
We must post on our blogs each day.
But there’s not enough hours in a day.
How do other writers accomplish all this?
How do they leave free time for their families?
 They must be expert jugglers.
Experts at writing, blogging, and juggling.
 I must learn this dance.
 This high-wire walk.
 This never-ending battle.
 I must learn to juggle.
 I will do it.
 I will do it all.
 Just give me the chance.
Book two is waiting to be written.
 I feel free.
 I feel empowered.
 I will survive.
 James Patterson, eat my dust.

WHO WILL LIVE TO TELL THE TALE?

Invited to a party?
Could it be at End House?
A deserted house at the edge
of the dark forest in Oasis, Florida.
People have disappeared from this house.
Never to be seen or heard from again.
But yet you're going to this party?
I admire your courage.
Your tenacity.
But make sure you could handle
what you may discover there.
No one has ever returned alive
to tell the tale.
You might be the first.
There's a first for everything.

I will tell you what you may expect.
No one will answer your knock on the door.
The door will open by itself,
inviting you to step inside.
Once inside, you will immediately notice
the sweeping staircase.
It is majestic with red carpeting
and statues of gargoyles.
Sounds like fun so far?

Flickering candles on the staircase
and along the right hallway
throw shadows along the dark walls.
Your group will divide into two.
The first group will follow the candles
up the grand staircase.
And your group will follow the flickering
lights down the right hallway,
which will lead you down to the basement.

Which group will find the mysterious host?
Which group will remain alive?
Upstairs, there may be revolving rooms
and bloody skeletons.
However, downstairs may have traps and wild animals.
Who will survive to tell the tale?
Only I know.
For I am one of The Dead.
We love our games
and welcome to THE DEAD GAME.
