FREE FALL

How does it feel
to free fall?
Allow yourself
to take the leap.
Sail through the air.
Freedom.
Escape.
What does it feel like?
I’ll let you know
once I hit the water.

RISING FROM THE DEEP

Source:

Glistening water so deep,
I see it in my half sleep.
Rays of white over it all,
Giving it a mighty pall.
What lives beyond the norm?
Something with a dark form.
It rises from the glowing wet.
It’s definitely not a pet.
With a body muscular and strong.
It could be Wolf but let me be wrong.

NIGHT FALLS

relatlonship Deactivated

Rising from down under.
Below our calm waters.
Beneath our heavenly paradise.
They come to our shore.
Dark shadows on the soft breeze.
Leaving dead bodies on the sand.
Disappearing with the morning light.
Until night falls once more.

THE OCEAN ROARS IN FURY

The ocean roars in fury
as it washes away intruders.
No boats to drift on its water.
No swimmers to ride the waves.
Strong arms lift in frustration.
Waves beat against the rocks.
Birds flee.
The sun hides.
We wait.
Will we be worthy?
Is mankind ever worthy?
Will the waters recede?
The answer lies in the ocean’s depths.

PINK SAND

PINK SAND
The sand so pink and soft.
Keeps my spirits aloft.
The water so clear and blue.
I want to enjoy that too.
Sun brightening the day.
All I want to do is play.

COLD DEPTHS

Source:

Take me in your arms,
As your darkness surrounds me.
Bring me to the outer limits
Of your hope and despair.
Delight me with your cold depths,
Waiting in the wetness beyond.

OCEAN DEEP

OCEAN DEEP

Cover me with your cold arms,
A baby blanket of softness.
Take me down under your waves,
Where the world glows a bluish green.
Life swirls by in colors of the rainbow,
Filled with creatures swimming free.
A harmony of constant movement,
Following the slow tempo of the deep.

FROM THE DEEP

FROM THE DEEP

graftheory: Graphic & Animation Exploration by Manuel Creignou

What is this?
It could be a pool of water.
A pool so dark and deep
that it has no bottom.
Shadows of tree limbs float
along its murky surface.

The water flows along the river bank,
snatching pieces of debris
along the way.
Rocks, branches, leaves…
All fall into its dark abyss.
Never to be seen again.

What lies beneath?
Can you hear it rumbling?
Something is moving in the deep.
It looks like a hand.
It’s reaching for me.
An inky black hand.
Should I grab hold of it?
It might belong to a person.
Or maybe not.
It could belong to a creature.

What should I do?
Wait.
I can see two arms.
A dark figure is rising from the water.
It’s too big to be human.
It’s facing me.
It doesn’t have eyes.
A dark shadow,
dripping with inky slime.

It roars.
My ears hurt.
It lifts its feet from the murkiness
and begins to walk toward me.
I want to run.
I want to hide.
But I can’t.
My feet are stuck to the ground.

I hear more roaring sounds.
More creatures are rising from the deep.
How could this be happening?
Is this real?
Or am I hallucinating?
Maybe I’m dreaming.

Then all becomes quiet.
I can’t hear anything.
No roaring.
None of the sounds
of the river bank.
What happened?

“What are you doing?”
I turn around and
see my friends.
I’m standing in front
of the TV screen.
I seem to be blocking
the horror movie.
I feel embarrassed.
I feel ashamed.
I feel myself being hit
by popcorn.
Another Saturday night.

THE VIEW FROM BELOW

What is the view beneath a bridge?
The bridge soaring high above,
reaching up to the sky.
Visiting clouds on its mighty ascent.
Closer to the twinkling stars at night.
But what about below the bridge?
In the dark shadows of the looming monster.
What secrets lie hidden in the murky water?
Water hidden from the sunlight.
Water kept from the light of the stars.
Are bodies buried below?
Remnants of lives lost on the bridge.
Lives taken by their own hands.
Do you really want to know?
Sometimes the truth is
better kept hidden away.

THE OCEAN ROARS IN FURY

The ocean roars in fury.
As it washes away any intruders
from its gilded surface.
No boats to drift in its waters.
No swimmers to play in its waves.
Its anger is against all who
dare to enter its domain.
It lifts its arms in frustration.
It directs its violence against its shores.
No beach goers to lie in the sun.
All is dark.
All is quiet.
We must watch and wait.
Before we are allowed entry
into its vast domain.
Will we be worthy?
Is mankind ever worthy?
Will its waters recede?
The decision lies in the depths
of the deep ocean.

THE DEEP

deeplovephotography:

The ocean holds mystery in its dark depths;
the myriad of fish and long lost possessions
hidden in its deep waters.
Its waves bury lost secrets, hopes and wishes.
If we venture below, will we find treasures, sunken
ships, or even dead bodies?
Too afraid to find out?
So am I.

THE DEAD GAME -- A PARANORMAL THRILLER

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 47

Edward dove into the water and reached him right before the last saw could finish its final rotation—which would have passed through Tom’s skinny, exposed neck. Edward grabbed Tom by the arm and pulled him to safety, past the sharp, swirling blades of the metal saws.
From out of nowhere, wide stone steps emerged on the far wall. Edward ran up the stairs, with Tom climbing up behind him. A huge metal door in the solid wall opened before them. Neither of them hesitated, but ran straight through the open doorway. The door slammed shut behind them and blended back into the concrete wall.
Louise couldn’t figure out where Tom and Edward had gone. The door was gone and so were Tom and Edward. Were they trapped somewhere? Or were they free outside the house? Would they be coming back?

THE DEAD GAME--DAY 46

Not waiting for the others, Edward charged ahead into the water. He stood in the middle where the water reached up to his knees. He looked up. Louise also gazed upward but couldn’t see anything. In the darkness above, she couldn’t even see a ceiling in the open, endless space. Then she heard a shrill clanging noise originating from somewhere above them, echoing throughout the basement. She couldn’t figure out what or who was making the awful noise; it sounded like a large machine was about to fall on them.

Instead, huge metal cages—suspended by thick metal chains—came crashing down from above. Sharp metal spokes extended from their bottom corners, to better catch any unsuspecting intruders with their ultra-sharp claws. The cages seemed to be targeting Edward, swaying close to him. He had to dodge their sharp rods, which were threatening to ensnare him and crush him to death. He dove into the water and eluded them—one after another.

Then all was quiet. The empty cages that had missed Edward were lying in the pool of black water.  With his legs still submerged, Edward stood panting on the far side of the water.
Tom broke the bleak silence by his hysterical shrieking.

“Watch out, Edward!” Then he jumped into the dark water.

Loud swooshing noises screeched from above. Huge circular saws descended to sweep the water between the submerged cages, searching for heads to slice off. Their sharp edges glinted in the dim light of the basement.

In his desperation to reach his beloved Edward, Tom tripped and fell face first into the water. A huge saw was rotating toward his slumped over body. Louise stood stunned in place. She knew unhappily that there was no way she could help him in time. She was even too far away to see if he was still breathing. The saws were sweeping the basement floor, lined up in methodical rows with only about a foot of space between them. There was no way anybody could reach Tom without having their own head chopped off.
