   The waves are churning.

   My face is burning.

   What’s coming for me?

   I don’t want to see.

   It rises from the deep

   when all are fast asleep.

   The Dead come ashore.

   For me, they’ve come for.

   There’s nowhere to run or hide.

   I refuse to take their side.

   The Dead will not win.

   They’re dripping with sin.

Red eyes gleaming,

facing the shore.

Arms of steel

part the waves.

Muscular legs

pump the sand.

Head tilted back

to give a mighty roar.

A beauty to behold.

A deadly presence to face.

Pounding footsteps

follow close behind.

Eating up the miles to town,

where Oasis will stand no more.

The best way to survive in Oasis
is to keep your mouth, ears, and eyes shut.
The Dead don’t like intruders.

The house is deserted.
The warm wind blows the windows open.
The breeze ruffles the curtains and
lifts the sheets covering the abandoned furniture.
What happened to the last family living there?
They disappeared in the night,
never to be heard from again.
A stormy night that was filled with
dangerous lightning and thunder.
End House holds many secrets.
Should we venture inside to uncover
its secrets?
Or should we leave these secrets to
grow and fester, along with the other
