TRAPPED IN A NIGHTMARE!

staggerlee13367:
Psycho Clown Collab by Firrea

TRAPPED IN A NIGHTMARE
I’m trapped in a nightmare.
Clowns are chasing me.
The knife-thrower swings at me
with his shiny blades.
Where should I run?
There’s a colorful tent!
This must be a carnival.
Oh no!
This tent is full of mirrors,
reflecting back at me
distorted images of myself.
Someone just pushed me!
I’m falling through a mirror—down
a long tunnel with hands reaching for me.
I’ve landed in the basement of End House!
I can never escape this house--
even in my dreams.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 190

A new evil was now facing the town of Oasis. It was the most deadly so far.

“What could possibly be worse than what we’ve already faced?” David asked. Need you ask silly lion? There is always something worse, Mike gleefully thought, rubbing his imaginary hands together in anticipation.
“Me!” shouted Natalie as she floated before them in the large hall.
She appeared almost transparent, hovering above the floor.  What kind of creature are we now facing? Mike refused to show his fear. “Maybe this is just an apparition created by wizardry or a vampire’s great imagination.”
Natalie  pointed her finger at him and released a stream of lightning that blew a huge hole next to him—right through the floor.  Mike decided that it was time for him to be quiet.
     “What are you?” Linda  asked.
“I am a vampire’s worst enemy; I am the La Santa Muerte or the Skeleton Saint! I am the Saint of Death!” She began transforming before their eyes—her skin peeling away from her body to reveal its skeleton beneath. She was standing before them in a long black nun’s robe with a scythe in her left hand, a crown tilted precariously on her bony head, and her deep eye sockets burning a deep red.
“I am the black Saint of Death, which brings revenge and destruction for its followers. My sisters are much weaker Skeleton Saints: the Red Saint promises love for her people, the White Saint provides protection, while the Gold Saint rewards her worshipers with money and financial support. My followers are seekers of vengeance and I provide all forms of revenge for them. I am the most powerful of all saints!”
     “You have followers?” Shana asked.
“Our followers pray to us for help. They throw feasts in our names. We provide for those who sacrifice to us. I have a large following in a nearby town. I am a true god to them!”
    “What is sacrificed?”
“Stupid human! What do you think is brought to me? Human sacrifices, of course.”

DEATH

blackoutraven:

There is one word to describe Oasis.
One word for the beautiful resort town
that turns deadly at night.
A town where dark shadows follow residents
to their homes.
Where they’re forced to hide behind
their locked doors and windows.
How could a vacation paradise become
a haven for murder at night?
One word is the answer.
DEATH
Death fills the streets and beaches, leaving
behind traces of its visit for the morning.

WELCOME TO THE DEAD GAME!

You can shut the blinds.
You can close your lights.
You can hide in your room.
But you can’t keep out The Dead.
They’re in Oasis, Florida and
are here to stay.
Once the sun sets,
they roam the streets of town.
What is a vacation paradise during the day
becomes a playground for The Dead at night.
Welcome to THE DEAD GAME!

THE EMPTY ATTIC

Linda and Shana visit the cottage
on the gravel road leading from town.
They are invited inside.
They are given a tour of the rooms.
Everything looks nice until they
visit the attic.
They enter the empty room.
In front of the window overlooking
the deserted mansion and End House,
sits a rocking chair.
As they stand by the window, the
chair begins to rock on its own.
The explanation given by the owners
frighten them even further.
They run for their lives through the
empty rooms and out the front door.
What did they learn?
Only The Dead know.

LET DARKNESS IN

Darkness surrounds the town of Oasis.
The only escape is through the magical door.
The door that the villagers keep hidden for emergencies.
Soon all the residents will need to escape.
Even the Oasis Hotel is engulfed in dark shadows.
Half-filled glasses sit on the tables at its bar.
On the patio deck, tables and chairs are flying through the air.
Where are the guests?
Who is safe from the wrath of the dark creatures?
No one.
The Dead Game has begun.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 174

They escape the dark tunnel, but Shana and her friends find even more trouble for themselves.

In the darkness of the tunnel, a light was being projected on one small area. In this subdued light sat a woman in rocking chair, rocking a baby in her arms while humming a sweet lullaby. To Shana, the scene looked very peaceful and serene—which didn’t at all fit with Louise’s terrified reaction.
She asked Louise, “Why are you so afraid? Who is that lady with the baby?”
Louise replied, “It’s my mother holding me. I’ve seen this scene numerous times in old pictures. My mother had died when I was only a baby.”
“The scene was obviously recreated from you own imagination. Before our minds are toyed with any further, we must turn around and leave! Right now!” Louise grabbed Shana’s outstretched hand and followed her back through the tunnel.
Upon their return to the main chamber, they made another sad discovery. Todd and Sam were tied up, back to back, on top of a tall pile of wood. The newly turned vampires were happily dancing around the mound, adding more wood to the increasing pile.
“I’m very happy that you’ve finally decided to join us. I’m about to make myself some dinner. I’ll now be able to have some dessert: humans make such a sweet delicacy.” Shirley laughed with unsuppressed glee.
“You must think very highly of yourself to laugh at your own stupid jokes,” Shana said.
Simmering with latent rage, Shirley raised her arm and lifted Shana high up into the air. Then she promptly lowered her hand to soundly plop her down alongside Todd and Sam, on the tall bonfire that Hank and Frank were busy building.
Shana fearfully looked down at her friends. The height and the smell of smoke were making her nauseous. This time Sam wouldn’t able to bring her down to safety. He was straining at his ropes, but she seriously doubted whether he would be able to free himself in time.

Are vampires real?
Do they suck people’s blood?
Do sleep during the day,
only to wake up at night?
Do they sleep in coffins?
Do they exist?
They do if you want them to.

nospheratusblack666:

"The Dead are coming!
Run for your lives!”
The crow cries in fear.
In fear for himself and
the town of Oasis.
When the moon rises,
so do The Dead.
The streets are no longer
safe for the residents.
Who will be alive in the morning?
Don’t wait to find out.

THE STARS ARE SHINING BRIGHT! ALL 5 STARS!

THE STARS ARE SHINING BRIGHT! ALL 5 STARS!

Thank you so much dear reader for such a kind review!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just because it is called Oasis doesn’t mean it is one!, June 13, 2014
This review is from: The Dead Game (Kindle Edition)
There is something different about the town of Oasis, especially for newcomers. When a group of newcomers who are store owners and friends are invited to End House (an evil looking mansion) the mystery and horror begins. I really enjoyed this novel. I liked the writing style and the story kept my attention as I was compelled to finish. Great job from an author I will be glad to see more of, and am sure I will. If you like horror, mystery and maybe a hint of romance grab this book!

OPEN THE DOOR

Open the door.
Step inside.
The darkness is beckoning you.
Calling you to walk in.
Welcome! Glad you’re here!
Follow the flickering candles.
They will lead you to untold pleasures.
Do you hear the music?
A party is waiting for you in the drawing room.
Don’t be afraid. Peek in.
Do you see the dancers?
Twirling around and around.
You can see through them? Can’t you?
That’s because they’re transparent.
An echo from the past.
Those who lived here before.
And now they inhabit the air.
Their spirits live in these dark rooms.
Now you can join them
and live here forever!
A story that can be told
just by looking at the closed door
and opening the door in your mind.
