A DAY AT THE BEACH

I want to be at the beach.
I want to walk down the wood stairs
and step into the soft sand.
Let the sand flow through my toes.
Feel the hot sun on my face.
Smell the breeze coming off the ocean.
Watch the birds swoop down to pick
at the fish near the surface of the water.
Hear the soft lapping of the waves at the shore.
Feel the cold water hitting my body.
So good!
So cold!
