DANCE WITH ME

frozen Dance

Dance with me until the moon hides its face,
And the sun attempts to quicken the pace.
From the sunlight, the vampire turns his face,
And dancers twirl to the light’s frenzied pace.

THE DEAD GAME

Source:

Tick tock tick tock
chimes the old clock.
Cold like a vault.
The dancers halt.
Evil is near.
The Dead are here.
Heads are rolling.
Let’s go bowling.
Midnight has come.
A game for none.

THE GLASS HOUSE

Snow falls.
Music fills the air.
In the glass dome of a house,
guests twirl and dance.
Images reflected on glass walls.
Champagne flows.
The clock strikes midnight.
The dance floor empties.
We are alone.
The game has begun.

KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED

The past calls.
A past filled with parties.
Balls held at the castle.
Dancers in the moonlight.
Close your eyes.
A carriage waits for you.
You arrive at the castle.
Footmen escort you.
You ascend the staircase,
wearing your new ball gown.
A man leads you to the dance floor.
Close your eyes.
Yes, it is a dream.
Keep your eyes closed,
and sway to the music.

WE HAVE TONIGHT

Source:

WE HAVE TONIGHT
Dance with me tonight, my darling.
Ignore the evil grins surrounding us.
Let us sway with the music’s quick beat.
No one needs to see the fear I hide
as you twirl me around the dance floor.
A smile is plastered on my face.
My eyes glued to yours.
I know there will be a meeting tonight.
The evil players will be present.
The evil one will soon be revealed.
Don’t let it be you, my loved one.

DANCE BENEATH THE LIGHTS

Source:

Dance beneath the bright lights,
Past the lifelike statues,
Figures entombed in glass,
As the dance floor grows bigger.
The music quickens its beat.
Couples twirl in circles.
The clock strikes midnight.
Let the games begin.

I BID ADIEU

 Source:

He stands frozen before me.
A vision too hard to see.
My love is ice cold to the touch.
I’ve missed him so very much.
Who did this to him?
It’s a deadly sin.
Someone will surely pay for this tonight
at the party for a vampire’s delight.
A glass dome for the dancing pair,
twirl past statues with frozen hair.
My kiss lands on his cold lips
as I grasp his frozen hips.
He watches behind still blue eyes
as I bid my hasty goodbyes.
I will come back for him.
I won’t let evil win.

A PLAINTIVE ECHO

Open the door.<br /> Step inside.<br /> The darkness is beckoning you.<br /> Calling you to walk in.<br /> Welcome! Glad you’re here!<br /> Follow the flickering candles.<br /> They will lead you to untold pleasures.<br /> Do you hear the music?<br /> A party is waiting for you in the drawing room.<br /> Don’t be afraid. Peek in.<br /> Do you see the dancers?<br /> Twirling around and around.<br /> You can see through them? Can’t you?<br /> That’s because they’re transparent.<br /> An echo from the past.<br /> Those who lived here before.<br /> And now they inhabit the air.<br /> Their spirits live in these dark rooms.<br /> Now you can join them<br /> and live here forever!<br /> A story that can be told<br /> just by looking at the closed door<br /> and opening the door in your mind.

“Open the door and
Step inside.
The darkness beckons to you.
Welcome!”
The wind sighs its plaintive plea.
Cold air swooshes past my face.
Do you hear the music?
A party is waiting for you in the drawing room.
Don’t be afraid.
Peek in.
Can you see the dancers?
Twirling around and around.
You can see through them?
Can’t you?
That’s because they’re transparent,
An echo from the distant past.
Those who lived here before
Who now inhabit this old house.”
A gowned figure of a woman turns to me.
The flesh slowly shrivels from her body,
Leaving behind a skeleton of bones.
She cackles,  You can now join us.”
Her hand reaches for me.
I turn to flee.
The windows and doors snap shut.
I jiggle the door handle.
Locked.
Trapped in the deep recesses
of my mind.
No escape.

THE DEAD

  1. A GLASS HOUSE OF HORROR

    The guests are dancing
    between frozen statues.
    Statues of ice.
    Sad expressions for eternity.
    They appear alive.
    Tears flowing down
    their frosty cheeks.
    Beneath the music and gaiety
    lies an undercurrent of evil.
    A glass house of horror.
Time to leave this fake paradise.
    To leave the perfect guests.
    The frozen smiles.
    To escape if one can.
Escape the deadly game of The Dead.

  2. Hotter than hell is their playground.
Beneath layers of rocks and dirt.
They wait for their day of salvation.
When they can ride in the storm.
They grow impatient for the invasion.
The end of life as we know it.
I can hear their cries blowing in the wind.
The whispers brought forth from below.
It’s time for us to gather ammunition.
Before our poor town is nothing at all.
