PARADISE LOST

Source:

Trees fill the conservatory.
Wolf leads us inside.
A domed paradise of greenery.
We follow him through bushes
that move to a music all their own.
Humid air coats our skin.
The ground shivers beneath our feet.
The trees lift up their massive roots.
Scraggly arms reach for us.
Time to leave this artificial paradise.

KEEP WRITING

Moss grows between the keys.
They swirl around the letters.
Taking root on the keyboard.
Greenery belongs outside.
Words belong inside.
On the page.
In the book.

MIRROR

A glimpse of paradise.
Green fills the mirror.
Sloping green hills.
Terracotta rooftops.
If it can only be.
A reflection for me.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Palm trees waving in the breeze.
A taste of salt water in the air.
Calm waters in blues and greens.
Lush greenery as far as the eye can see.
Too good to be true?
Does a place like this exist?
It does exist in Oasis, Florida.
A small community nestled on the beach.
Brilliant white sand sparkles in the afternoon sun.
Tourists sunbathe alongside the pool of the Oasis Hotel.
But at night everything changes.
Gone is the feeling of peace and serenity.
Gone are the warm trade winds.
Instead, cold winds bring with them dark shadows.
Dark shadows bringing evil and fear.
The Dead have come to town.

KILL MEA walk through the woodsOn a sunny afternoon. What could go wrong?I am alone. It is growing darker. The wind begins to sigh and moan.Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. The leaves of the tall trees are rustling.Their rustling sounds grow louder. Are the trees moving on their own?The trees are coming alive!Alive with The Dead.Just kill me now.THE DEAD GAMEKindlehttp://amzn.to/1lKvMrPNookhttp://bit.ly/1lFdqNj

KILL ME NOW

A walk through the greenhouse
on a sunny afternoon.
Darkness soon falls on the dense copse of trees,
covering us with its inky shadow.
Rustling sounds echo from within the foliage,
followed by sighs and moans.
The trees begin moving,
their leaves striking us in a quick tempo.
We're surrounded.

Are the trees moving on their own?
The trees are coming alive!
Alive with The Dead.
Just kill me now.

A RADIANCE FROM WITHIN

Nature has its own beauty.
Its radiance comes from within.
Blossoming from a mere seed.
To give color and light to the world.

THE HOUSE IS ALIVE!

Welcome to my greenhouse.
Wolf steps back from the door
to allow his guests to enter.
They walk into a room filled with trees.
No paths meander through the thick greenery.
They follow Wolf through the tangled grove
to the back of the room.
Leaves rustle with the sounds of wildlife.
But no animals or birds are visible.
The back wall is filled to the high ceiling
with cages of snakes.
Snakes thrusting their long tongues
at the unwelcome guests.
Wolf laughs at their discomfort.
Time to leave the strange house.
They run past the tall trees,
who lift their mighty trunks in pursuit.
The whole house shakes,
while Wolf bellows louder in laughter.
They run through the room of portraits
that follow them with their eyes.
They must escape before the house
swallows them alive.
THE DEAD GAME HAS BEGUN.

NATURE VS. NURTURE

flowersgardenlove:

Is a garden better with straight
pathways and cut hedges?
Does structure improve upon nature?
Or is nature better represented in its
wild form?
Nature can be appreciated and
respected in both formats.
Just as long as it’s enjoyed.

INTO THE WOODS

atraversso:

Beautiful by Kevin Russ

The woods are mysterious.
Who knows what lurks inside
the dark shadows?
Are there spirits or ghosts?
Evil waiting to pounce on
unsuspecting victims?
Or maybe there’s just beauty
and warmth.
And maybe a deer or two.

CANOPY OF FLOWERS

flowersgardenlove:

Ashikaga Flower Park Beautiful gorgeous pretty flowers

What a beautiful canopy of flowers
to relax under.
What stories I could create
in the shade of the pretty blossoms.
I need to find a tree like this.

OPEN THE DOOR

flowersgardenlove:
A closed door,
it can open to many things.
It can lead you into a garden of flowers.
It can also lead you to darkness and
unspeakable horrors.
What are you in the mood for?
Do you want pretty flowers?
Or do you want to explore the unknown.
The choice is yours.
