A BUD

A bud so sweet,
Enticing treat.
It throws off heat,
Dance to its beat.

Its scent draws me near,
Still not feeling fear.
It soon becomes clear,
I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,
Near my face big and round.
I quickly hit the ground,
Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,
And I’m not hurting.
The sun is shining,
My bud is smiling.

BUDS OF HOPE

BUDS OF HOPE
In midst of despair and sorrow
rise buds of hope for the morrow.
Still standing upright and strong
against all that can go wrong.
These are extreme times of confusion and change,
media expanding over a broader range.
We are attacked by sounds in each direction,
leaving no time for thinking and reflection.
These flowers know what’s real,
they go by what they feel.
Away from the hustle and bustle,
they grow wild without any tussle.
A day to clear my cluttered mind is all I need,
to recharge my battery is what I should heed.
I’ll recharge in a quiet place like this,
a zest for life is what I dearly miss.

WE WAIT FOR THE NIGHT

We wait for the night,
dry from the sun,
weak to our roots.
We yearn for moisture,
petals limp,
stems drooping.
We wait for the night,
for the moonlight
to ease our pain.
We wait for the dew
to quench our thirst,
to replenish our souls.
We wait for the sun
to lift its fiery head
and begin its daily ritual.
We are ready
to face the new day
with arms lifted.

PINK

A touch of pink at night.
I do not need much light.
I bud in the dark.
My spot in the park.
Can you feel me touch your hair?
If you cannot, please come near.
I’ll sprout in the spring for you and me.
A prettier sight you will not see.

LET IT BLOOM

LET IT BLOOM
Watch the rose bloom.
It’s not too soon.
The lovely smell.
It rings my bell.
The pink color.
Like no other.
Face to the sun.
Ready for fun.
Velvet to the touch.
I love it so much.
I’m ready for spring.
To hear the birds sing.
I’m eager for the first bloom.
Definitely not too soon.
Let it bloom.

MOON SHADOW

My favorite poem. I had to share it again.

MOON SHADOW

I live in the shadow of the moon.
I have grown and sprouted much too soon.
I will try with all my might
To live in the bright sunlight.
I close my eyes but yet I’m still here.
Sitting on a branch next to a pear.
My petals are white as snow
Because of this fact I know.
I will never be awake at day
No matter how hard I wish and pray.
For I live in the shadow of the moon
And I’m slated to sing the nightly tune.

STAND STRONG

Stand strong for me.
Your petals closed tight.
Face to the sun.
Hope in your heart.
Release your sweetness.
The perfect fragrance.
Let the dew quench your thirst.
The rain wash your tears.
Stand strong for me.

ROSE BUD

A BudA

A bud so sweet,
It can’t be beat.
Throwing off heat,
Enticing treat.

Its scent draws me near,
Still not feeling fear.
It soon becomes clear,
I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,
Near my face big and round.
I quickly hit the ground,
Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,
And I’m not hurting.
The sun is shining,
My bud is smiling.

LET IT BLOOM

Watch it grow.
Watch it bloom.
Pretty rose.
Sweet perfume.
The beautiful color.
Pink like cotton candy.
Facing the morning sun.
Happy as a dandy.
It is a bud.
When will it bloom
and open wide?
I hope it’s soon.
I’m ready for flowers.
I’m ready for spring.
Eager to see the buds.
Let the spring bells ring.
How about one rose?
The first bloom of the season.
That would be enough.
I think it’s within reason.

A RADIANCE FROM WITHIN

Nature has its own beauty.
Its radiance comes from within.
Blossoming from a mere seed.
To give color and light to the world.

ALL BY MYSELF

dehanginggarden:

when blue is blue by chriseastmids

In the dark of night,
a plant grows by itself.
Around it the land is barren.
No colors shimmer in the darkness,
besides the deep blue of its petals.
It hangs its head down low,
weeping for its loneliness,
waiting for other flowers to bloom.
But sadly, it must wait in vain,
for no other plant will flower nearby.

RAIN ON ME

RAIN ON ME

flowersgardenlove:

. Beautiful gorgeous pretty flowers

The rain won’t bring us down.
It will allow us to grow.
Bring on the rain.

Bring on the rain.
  • Rain on me.
I don’t care.
I’m still cute.

Rain on me.
I don’t care.
I’m still cute.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

simply-beautiful-world:

READY FOR SPRING?
THE ROSES ARE WAITING TO
BURST OPEN FOR SPRING.
I FEEL THE SAME WAY.
SPRING CAN’T COME SOON ENOUGH.
