I am air.

Watch me fly

Through the air.

Hold my breath,

Head held high,

You are alive

And so am I.

HE STANDS IN HIS PLACE

 

The sun sets.

The animals prepare for the night.

The old elephant stands in his place.

He doesn’t need to move.

He has everything he needs.

He keeps a watchful eye

As he stands in his place.

A force to be reckoned.

It grows by the second,

thrashing under the bridge,

leaving death in its wake.

Leave me be.

My dying wish isn’t

to be consumed by the sea.

A HOUSE OF ICE

A house of ice

is temporary.

Once the sun shines,

its bricks melt.

Similar to a house of lies.

Once the lies are uncovered,

the structure collapses.

An unstable foundation

isn’t built to last.

The waves attack the shore.

Foam against sand.

Cold against hot.

A tower of strength.

Backed by the devil.

Riding the waves.

To take our town.

For his own.

We will fight the evil.

Stand side by side.

To defeat the enemy.

Our problems can feel insurmountable at times.
Obstacles too big to overcome.
Life can be one long battle.
But if we persevere we can reach our goals.
If we do it one step at a time,
we can fulfill our dreams
and even find new ones.

Can being alone ever feel good?
Standing strong and firms against the wind
with no one protecting your back.
Could this feel good?
Looking out over the horizon and feel
the salty wind in your face.
Feeling good yet?
Feeling stronger by the day without
anyone’s help.
That is when it begins to feel good,
when you begin to feel strong enough
to stand on your own two feet without
needing help from anyone.

THE OCEAN

I love watching the waves.
The ocean stretches as far as the eye could see.
It has been here before my existence,
and it will continue after my existence.
It embodies strength and resistance.
It will continue on despite what
humanity does to it.

Do you sometimes feel all alone? As if no one else understood what you were going through? No one was there to help. Hardship is supposed to make us stronger. But I don’t want to be stronger. I only want to be happy.

We all walk alone at some point. It is part of nature to be strong and self-sufficient. Be proud. Be confident.
