UNTIL THE NIGHT

Take the road to the Oasis Hotel,

Lined with trees shedding their pink petals.

A bright and sunny road

Filled with wishes & dreams.

No worries or despairs

Until the night.

SIREN’S CALL

passium:
“ vintage blog
”
I walk alone each night.
The wind moans and howls,
but no one calls my name.
I walk alone each night,
waiting for the siren’s call.
But no one calls my name.

I walk alone each night.
The wind moans and howls,
but no one calls my name.
I walk alone each night,
waiting for the siren’s call.
But no one calls my name.

THE ROAD TO NOWHERE

Nowhere

Let’s take the road to nowhere.
Anywhere but here.
Far, far away.
Somewhere else to stay.

Fly like the wind
Along the country road
Past rolling plains,
Majestic mountains.
Beauty on every side.

TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT

Source:

Take the night to the limit.
The road to its end.
The sun to its setting.
Life to its climax.
Leaving no stone unturned.
No drama left undone.
No sentence left unsaid.
Take the night to the limit.

READY, SET, GO

We’re moving faster.
We’re getting closer.
It waits
Patiently.
We can’t stop.
We have no control.
When the time comes,
We must be ready.

THE ROAD TAKEN

Road Taken
Source:

The road curves.
It straightens.
Past meadows.
Crowded cities.
Miles of pasture.
Windows open.
Wind rushing past.
Follow the birds.
Until the next town.
The next city.
The next stop.
Engine rumbles.
It dies.
Destination reached.
Time served.

TOUCH THE RAINBOW

TOUCH THE RAINBOW

I take the winding path shaded in red
instead of hiding in my comfy bed.

The road widens and narrows its scope
as it weaves away from any hope.

Blood red threatens the night sky
as laughter follows me high.

Rivers of crimson red coat my tired feet
as I walk the road of shame and defeat.

Why cannot life take the high road?
I ask if I may be so bold.

Ahead I see a bright light
as I rise with all my might.

I run toward the rainbow in my mind
in the colors and hues, I hope to find.

THE FINAL BELL

passium Deactivated

Walk to the end.
A long walk alone.
Clouds hang low.
Quiet reigns supreme.
Darkness abounds.
One foot in front of the other.
Moving closer to the end.
Does heaven wait for me?
I close my eyes in acceptance.
Fate has rung her final bell.

THE ROAD TO OASIS

colors trees

Take the road to Oasis.
A bright and sunny road
Filled with wishes and dreams.
No worries or despairs.
The Oasis Hotel waits with open arms.
High archways invite sea breezes.
Tourists lounge by the pool.
No worries or despairs.
Until night falls.
Dark shadows appear on the streets
And on the white-sanded beach.
No worries or despairs.
No worries or despairs
For those who take care.
Death for those who do not.

THE PERFECT HUE

Indigo

beneath the sea floor

THE PERFECT HUE

The road extends to the sea,
where creatures can roam free.
Blue tinges the sky and flowers,
an indigo of dark powers.
The town lies ahead,
where I’ll lay my head.
Dreams will take me away
to a place with no gray.
Only bright colors for my day
in this new place, I want to stay.
Fear not the witches in the night,
but enjoy each day as you might.
An Oasis waits now for you,
a rainbow in a perfect hue.

THE WHITE PICKET FENCE

Autumn Fence, Woodstock, Vermont
A walk down a country road,
not knowing what it may hold.
Leaves crunch loudly beneath my feet,
walking fast is no easy feat.

I need to get home to make dinner,
I’d hoped the walk would make me thinner.
But I need to slow down and breath the air,
as sweet as cotton candy at a fair.

My steps follow the white picket fence,
the other side makes me cold and tense.
The huge dog jumps high in the air,
his eyes white dots on his black hair.

He whimpers and walks closer to me,
his dark eyes as wide as can be.
He lifts a large paw to the gate,
as I slow down my frenzied gait.

I stop in place to pet his head,
I know I have just made my bed.
I will now be home late for dinner,
but the dog knows I’m still the winner.

I have stopped to smell the flowers,
I’m refreshed with superpowers.
I race home with new resolve,
no more time puzzles to solve.

DO NOT TOE THE LINE

Source:

DO NOT TOE THE LINE

A road that’s not taken
is a road forsaken.
Do not turn your face
from the hectic race.
Follow the bright lights
and achieve great heights.
Do not hang your head in fear
for your time is now and here.
Take your place in the curving line
of others who won’t toe the line.
Rev up your engine and soar
with your foot pressed to the floor.
You have only one chance
in life to sing and dance.
Let this be your time
to not toe the line.
