A walk through the rocks.
Blocking my path to the ocean.
Big rocks.
Small pebbles.
All in my way.
I will hop, skip,
and jump over them.
Until there are no more.
No more obstacles on my journey.
Only the sea.
For me.

PERSISTENCE

Nature persists.
It soldiers on.
It rears its head
in the most unlikely places.
No matter the obstacles
we put around it
or on it.
It thrives.
It flourishes.
Despite us.
