WHEREVER YOU ARE

Wherever you are,
Know that I’m with you.
My thoughts follow you.
I feel your pain
and relish in your joys.
I visit your dreams.
I’m beside you when you wake.
My spirit will keep you warm.
My arms will comfort you
in the dark days ahead.
Wherever you are,
I’ll be there.

RED LACE

I will lay down my head to sleep
Beneath a canopy so deep.
Soft leaves curl around my face,
Covering me in red lace.
Sticks of trees protect my sides.
Perfect place for one who hides.
The sun peeks in between the red,
Warmth of sunshine on my head.

A SPECIES APART

Love in unusual places.
Friends having different faces.
A species apart.
Right from my cold heart.
We’ll be warm in the snow.
I should just let you know.
I love your green eyes.
I hate long goodbyes.
Stay here with me tonight.
I’ll keep you close and tight.
Is that a meow you say?
I saved a spot in the hay.

THE MOON

Night is settling in.
Shadows cover the small town.
A town preparing for the evening.
The sun hides its face.
The moon turns in glee.
Time for it to shine.
Time for it to be king.
Time for the stars to twinkle.
For the stars to serve him.
The town turns darker.
The winds turn colder.
The soft snow begins to freeze.
Ice hangs from the trees.
Frost covers the windows.
All are inside.
All are safe and warm.
From the moon’s games.
Or so they think.
Who will be at its mercy?
Who will be left out in the cold?
Don’t let it be you.

SEA FLOWS THROUGH ME

“Isotonic Jacuzzi Process” serie by VALERIE

The sea flows through me.
I’m part of it you see.
Water fills my cells.
It rings all my bells.
Sunlight keeps me warm.
Nature is true to form.
It protects us.
It nurtures us.
We’re all connected.
No less is expected.

PINK MAGIC

Pink flowers to fill my day.
Petals falling in soft flight.
Ready to come out and play.
A soothing and heady sight.

A shady path to soft dreams.
To hot days and warmer nights.
Pink filling the lakes and streams.
A large toast to spring’s best sights.

TEMPTING

Sparkle for me ocean so blue.
Shine for me so bright.
Your beauty is entrancing
and much too tempting.

I want to throw my body
into your long arms.
Let them wrap
around my cold body.

Pull me deeper
into your smooth depths.
No god to defeat us.
No demon to lure us apart.

I’m coming inside you now.
My body feels like ice.
Icicles hanging from my hair.
I’m numb from the cold.

Warm me.
Soothe me.
Hold me.
I’m dying a slow death.

I had trusted you with all my heart.
But my heart has stopped pumping.
I float alone in the cold water.
No one to save me.

I am a fool to have trusted you.
I am a fool no longer.
I am nothing.

THE COVER OF NIGHT

THE COVER OF NIGHT

Night is settling in.
Shadows cover the small town.

The soft snow begins to freeze.
Ice hangs from the trees.
Frost covers the windows.
All are inside.
All are safe and warm.
From the moon’s games.
Or so they think.
For the moon’s fun
has just begun.
Who will be at its mercy?
Who will be left out in the cold?
Don’t let it be you.

CAT HAT

Feel cold?
Need a hat?
Try a cat hat.
It might be itchy.
It might squirm too much.
But it’s cute.
Feel cold?

Try a cat hat.
It might be itchy.
It might squirm too much.
But it’s cute.

CLOSE YOUR EYES AND RELAX

sundxwn:

9:30 PM by Frank Jensen

I need a place like this right now.
I need to relax
and walk away from the computer.
I’ll close my eyes and make believe
that I’m sitting under the tree.
The sun feels good on my face.
Imagination is a great thing.

PERFECT FOR TWO

A perfect setting.
Two boats for two rowers
to row across the still water.
I could almost feel the sun on my face,
and hear the birds chirping.
Time like this is precious,
and should be savored.
We just have to find the time.

THE RAIN

zen-mommy:

☯

RAIN CAN BE SOOTHING.
THE SOUND OF ITS PATTER ON THE ROOF.
THE FRESH SMELL OF WET GRASS.
WATCHING IT FALL ON PEOPLE AND CARS.
YES, IT CAN BE SOOTHING
IF YOU’RE WARM AND DRY.

SPRING IN THE AIR

BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY
IF I CLOSE MY EYES,
I CAN HEAR THE WATER STREAM THROUGH THE ROCKS.
I CAN SMELL THE FRESH GRASS.
I CAN HEAR THE LEAVES RUSTLING THROUGH THE TREES.
IF I KEEP MY EYES CLOSED, I COULD BELIEVE IT’S SPRING.

GOODBYE OLD MAN WINTER

GOODBYE WINTER

I want all the snow and ice to melt.
I want it to be warm outside.
I want to smell the flowers.
I want to see the grass.
I want to see roses budding.
Too bad we can’t always get what we want.

HIBERNATE AWAY THE WINTER

expressions-of-nature:
Brown Bear Napping, Alaska by Joel Sartore
That is exactly how I feel in the winter.
I want to go to sleep until it’s over.
I’d wake up and spring is here.
