MIDNIGHT AT THE OASIS

Lights flicker through the trees.

Music floats in the still air.

Dare we join the party?

Figures twirl inside the glass walls.

The clock strikes midnight.

Time comes to a standstill.

THE PERFECT TIME FOR A PARTY

It’s a magical night for a party.

Beautiful couples dance

between the glass statues.

Fancy gowns drape the perfect bodies.

The glasshouse shimmers in the moonlight.

The party is perfect.

A little too perfect.

GLASS HOUSE

Follow the lights to the house of glass,
There will be much splendor in the grass.
A more decadent event there could not be,
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.

THE GLASS HOUSE

Snow falls.
Music fills the air.
In the glass dome of a house,
guests twirl and dance.
Images reflected on glass walls.
Champagne flows.
The clock strikes midnight.
The dance floor empties.
We are alone.
The game has begun.

PARTY IN A GLASS HOUSE

Snow falls.
Music floats in the air.
Inside the glass house,
the guests dance.
Their images reflect on the
sparkling walls.
Champagne flows
and so does the blood.
The clock strikes midnight.
The dance floor empties.
We are alone.
The games have begun.

FOLLOW THE LIGHTS

FOLLOW THE LIGHTS

Follow the lights to the house of glass.
There will be much splendor in the grass.
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.
A more decadent event there could not be.
Champagne will be flowing until the wee hours.
Come with me and dance among the pretty flowers.
This room full of guests gives me a chill.
Maybe we should leave I’ve had my fill.
Eyes are following us in the room.
They will be upon us all too soon.
The guests are not what they appear.
Beneath they are just bones and hair.

A MAGICAL NIGHT FOR A PARTY

A MAGICAL NIGHT FOR A PARTY
The glass dome reflects the sparkling stars.
Inside, dancing pairs twirl around.
Beneath chandeliers of ice.
Between frozen statues.
Reflecting days gone by.
In mirrors upon the frosted walls.
Spin and dance the night away.
Until the dawn rises clear and strong.
And chases away the dark shadows.
A party at a glass house can be perfect.
Maybe a little too perfect.

A GLASS HOUSE

The Glass House at Candlewood Cabins, Wisconsin.

A glass house reveals all.
No secrets hidden.
No bodies buried.
No whispers unheard.

THE DEAD

  1. A GLASS HOUSE OF HORROR

    The guests are dancing
    between frozen statues.
    Statues of ice.
    Sad expressions for eternity.
    They appear alive.
    Tears flowing down
    their frosty cheeks.
    Beneath the music and gaiety
    lies an undercurrent of evil.
    A glass house of horror.
Time to leave this fake paradise.
    To leave the perfect guests.
    The frozen smiles.
    To escape if one can.
Escape the deadly game of The Dead.

  2. Hotter than hell is their playground.
Beneath layers of rocks and dirt.
They wait for their day of salvation.
When they can ride in the storm.
They grow impatient for the invasion.
The end of life as we know it.
I can hear their cries blowing in the wind.
The whispers brought forth from below.
It’s time for us to gather ammunition.
Before our poor town is nothing at all.
