FLUSH OF PINK

… the inner gauge is rising to its peak …

Anger raises its head
as I thrash in my bed.
The hot flush of pink is flowing.
To my brow, it isn’t slowing.

I remember his aqua eyes
as he retold his many lies.
I watched the grim line of his frown
as he turned my world upside down.

I won’t let him ruin my night.
I need him out of my sight.
No more meetings in the dark
beneath the elm in the park.

No more whispers as we walk.
I know the town loves to talk.
I say goodbye to my fickle love
as the moon bows its head above.

LIPS

lips

Lips so juicy and sweet,
I want to have a treat.
Whether a smile or a frown,
They aren’t just a mere brown.
They belong to my loved one,
who fills my life with such fun.

WELCOME THE NIGHT

Welcome the night
And its friend, the moon.
Don’t take flight
From the man in the moon.
Let the moon take over
From the sun’s bright reign.
Let the sun take cover
Without hesitation or pain.
A thick blanket will fall,
Covering the earth with security.
Darkness will cover all
With its grace and purity.
The stars will twinkle and shine.
For the sun, do not pine.
It will be back tomorrow morning
So no need for any worrying.

CRY

Source:

We cry for ourselves.
We cry in the night.
Tears roll down our cheeks.
Frowns cover our faces.
We stand together.
We cry for no one.
We cry for everyone.

HAPPY FROWN

parallelteeth
Yellow face loop.

I can see you through the fire
In this dark place and not higher.
The Dead are coming to town.
I will wear my happy frown.
The town will be no more.
This is what I’m here for.
To tell you the true story.
So you won’t have to worry
Of what will come to bear
When the evil comes here.
THE DEAD GAME

IN THE NIGHT

We cry for ourselves.
We cry in the night.
Tears roll down our cheeks.
Frowns cover our faces.
We stand together.
We cry for no one.
We cry for everyone.

OUR TRUE FACE

OUR TRUE FACE

pixelated-nightmares:

Mikey by JohnBranhamArt

Is this you?
At times I feel this way.
I feel like murdering someone.
Cutting their heart out
of their mean and vengeful body.
But we can’t.
We’re humans with
compassion and forgiveness
in our hearts.
But it does feel good to think
like this when we’re hurt and angry.
So think your crazy thoughts and
then put on your happy face.
No one will ever know.

  • OUR TRUE FACE
What face do you show to the world?
Is it a happy face with smiles and laughs?
Or a sad face with frowns and whimpers?
Whatever face we might show,
there’s another face hidden behind it.
Our true face that very few see.
The face that accurately reflects our dreams,
desires, fears, and thoughts.
Complex thoughts that are never revealed to others.
As I watch people, I try to envision their true face.
At times, I can see it in their eyes;
for eyes more accurately reflect our inner thoughts.
So put on your fake face but you can only try to
disguise yourself with your eyes.
For the eyes tell all.
