SING ME A SONG

Source:randomthoughtsforabeautifulgirl

Sing me a love song.

Rhyme me a sad tale.

The woe of heartbroken lovers

whose tinny cries take to the air.

The needle rides the grooves.

Round in a circle, it goes.

No beginning or end.

Like a tear that refuses to fall.

A song without an end.

The melody echoes through eternity.

One jump and scratch at a time.

PLAY ME A SONG

Source:randomthoughtsforabeautifulgirl

Play me a love song.

Rhyme me a sad tale.

The woe of heartbroken lovers

whose tinny cries take to the air.

The needle rides the grooves.

Around in a circle, it goes.

No beginning or end.

Like a tear that won’t fall.

A sad song with no end

that echoes for eternity.

A DAY AT THE BEACH

A day at the beach.
The sea breeze soothes my aching soul.
Seagulls taunt me with their cries.
Cold water tickles my toes.
Sand flows through my fingers.
A day in Oasis, Florida.
A day at the beach
Before The Dead arrive.

TRAPPED IN HELL

Sascha Schneider (German, 1870–1927), Eichenwald auf Ruegen (Oak Forest on Ruegen Island), 1925

The forest grows dark.
It has come alive.
Wooden arms reach for me.
Roots uncurl from the ground.
Trees shake and dance
to the moans of the wind.
Dark shadows follow me.
Moonlight teases me.
I’m trapped in hell,
where the sun doesn’t shine.

THE PARTY

A luxury yacht sails the ocean.
Aboard are many guests,
Dressed in jewels and ball gowns.
Champagne flows freely.
Music fills the night air.
Bodies fall into the water,
Some are swimming,
And some are not.
Blood trickles into the water,
Covered by the moon’s shadow.
Cries increase in tempo
Until silence sweeps the dark ship.

HOTTER THAN HELL

Hotter than hell is their playground.
Beneath layers of rocks and dirt.
They wait for their day of salvation.
When they can ride in the storm.
They grow impatient for the invasion.
The end of life as we know it.
I can hear their cries blowing in the wind.
The whispers brought forth from below.
It’s time for us to gather ammunition.
Before our poor town is nothing at all.

OF THE NIGHT

His hand reaches for me.
He wants me for The Dead.
I won’t yield to his call.
He wants me in his bed.

I’m surrounded by his kind.
Their cries echo in the night.
He swoops closer from the sky.
Oh, what a beautiful sight.

He’s a creature of the night.
I’m crazy to want him so.
I can’t resist his sad face.
He is not a friend but a foe.

FACE THE DEVIL

I walk in the dark woods.
Soft cries fill my ears.
The same cries of my nightmares.
I know what waits for me in the forest.
Goosebumps riddle my chilled flesh.
The evil one calls to me.
My heart beats to his drum.
He wants me to join him.
He plays for keeps.
I will go now
and face the devil.

THE LAST TREE STANDING

I face the wind.
Each day I wait.
Time passes.
I wait for the world to change.
People come and go.
I hear sounds of trees falling
and cries of animals dying.
The rolling hills are replaced by buildings,
monstrous symbols to mankind.
Fewer trees dot...

Time passes.
I wait for the world to change.
People come and go.
I hear sounds of trees falling
and cries of animals dying.
The rolling hills are replaced by buildings,
monstrous symbols to mankind.
Fewer trees dot the naked landscape.
Dirty water fills the lakes and ocean.
Mankind has changed the world
in irreversible ways.
Stop before it’s too late.
I refuse to be the last tree standing.

LOST

Lost to a world of death.
Far beneath the earth.
Trapped for centuries.
Never seeing the light.
Night never turning into day.
A family lost to the dark.
Driven crazy by despair.
Locked in dark chambers.
For eternity.
Lost to the world of the damned.
Only one could save them.

CRY

Source:

We cry for ourselves.
We cry in the night.
Tears roll down our cheeks.
Frowns cover our faces.
We stand together.
We cry for no one.
We cry for everyone.
