FALLING

A heart-shaped pool
to break my fall.
A cold wetness
to entomb me.
Depths to reach
beneath the surface.
I am falling.
No one to catch me.
But cold wetness.

WALK ALONE

WALK ALONE

We walk alone.
We may ask for help,
but no one understands our grief.
No one carries our problems.
This is a journey
we must do alone.

ARE WE ALONE?

silenceforthesoul Deactivated
Carl Gustav Carus (1789-1869) – Faust’s Dream

ARE WE ALONE?
Are we truly alone?
Friends and family.
Are they with us?
Beside us every day?
I can feel them.
A thickness in the air.
A soft touch.
A slight breeze.
Is my brother gone?
Or is he with me?
I believe he is.
He chuckles at my blunders.
He laughs at my jokes.
He cries when I’m hurt.
Yes, he is with me.
Always.
Forever.

WALK ALONE

Poise. by Karl-Shakur

We walk alone,
Year after year.
Troubles weigh us down,
No end in sight.
Our loads become heavy,
Our bodies weary.
Frowns on our faces,
Eyes to the sky above,
We ask for salvation.
No answer for our ears.
Hope lingers in our souls,
A hope for better days.
If not in this lifetime,
then maybe in the next.

MISSING YOU

I miss you,
dear brother.
So many years
have passed
without you.
Without you to
share my adventures,
my happiness,
my sorrows.
Life has been lackluster
without you.
It’s been missing a
vital ingredient.
It’s been missing you.
