WHERE THE WINDS BLOW

WHERE THE WIND BLOWS The trees of the forest shiver and shake, their long limbs trembling for the next quake. Their bodies blaze a glaring white with tears frozen from their new plight. The world has become hard and cold. My trembling body feels...

The trees of the forest shake,

their limbs fearing the next quake.

Their thick trunks glisten in white,

with tears frozen from their plight.

Surrounded on four sides by white,

the bright glare has blinded my sight.

A shadow emerges from the trees.

I hope it is not him, pretty please.

My body moves forward against my will.

I grab a tree trunk and try to hold still.

I dig my feet into the packed snow,

but I must go where the wind will blow.

CELEBRATE THE 4TH OF JULY

4th of July

Celebrate the 4th of July.
Let the colorful lights fly high.
Flashing through the sky in hues
of sparkling reds, whites, and blues.
Victory is our day.
We are ready to play.

UNWANTED FOOTSTEPS

Source:

Silence sweeps the streets clean.
No voices to mark the white surface.
A cold wind brushes away
prints of unwanted footsteps.
Lights in the distance
warn us of inhabitants.
Ignore those earthly reminders
of noise and commotion.
Instead, enjoy the serenity
nature presents to us.

WHITE BLANKET

Source:

Look to the glowing skies,
Magic before my eyes.
Snow flutters to the ground
Without even a sound.
Masking the dirt with white,
So pretty and so bright.
I hope it can remain this way,
A blanket for one more day.

TWO-FACED WONDER

Beautiful rose.
Soft and velvety.
Protected by sharp thorns.
Bright in the sunshine.
Dark in the moonlight.
A two-faced wonder.

COLOR TO THE WHITE

Bring a little color to the white,
Cascade down the bricks every night.
Roses will soon bring red to the scheme,
Adding so much more to the scene.

I CRY ALONE IN THE NIGHT

I cry alone in the dark of night.
The sun refuses to share the light.
Lit by a fire from within.
Moonlight hits me like a sharp pin.
I grow paler by the day.
In this world, I cannot stay.
Without light, I will die.
My white petals will fly.
I’m left to be a thin stick
As I grow tired and sick.

SNOWFALL

Clean me.
Snow on me.
Wet my hair.
Fall on my eyelids.
Drench my body.
Whiten the streets.
I welcome thee
into my heart and soul.

Clean me.
Snow on me.
Wet my hair.
Fall on my eyelids.
Drench my body.
Whiten the streets.
I welcome thee
into my heart and soul.

WHITE BLANKET OF SNOW

White Blanket of Snow

WHITE BLANKET OF SNOW

The snow is falling.
Flakes float to the ground.
A hush falls across the city.
Few cars dare to brave the roads.
Too soon for building snowmen.
Footsteps have yet to marr
The white surface.
A white blanket.
Sparkling clean.
The city is refreshed.
Its sins covered.
A rebirth.

THE SNOW IS BLACK

No automatic alt text available.
Image may contain: text

A town where the snow is black,
bringing coldness and fear.
Old remnants of tears held back,
and times too hard to bear.
Woven from black sheets of rain,
fear covers in disarray.
Anguished and frozen with pain,
dark petals fall in dismay.
Hell has come to Oasis,
The Dead and gone at its side.
Now hidden behind faces
that are well-known far and wide.
Who will fall prey to The Dead?
I hope it is not me.
I’m hiding under my bed.
I’m afraid as I can be.

MOON SHADOW

I live in the shadow of the moon.
I have grown and sprouted much too soon.
I will try with all my might
To live in the bright sunlight.
I close my eyes but yet I’m still here.

Sitting on a branch next to a pear.
My petals are white as snow
Because of this fact I know.
I will never be awake at day

No matter how hard I wish and pray.
For I live in the shadow of the moon
And I’m slated to sing the nightly tune.

WHITE PARADISE

pachipachiworld:
Blossom by Phil Greenwood

WHITE PARADISE

The petals fly through the air on a soft breeze.
I so want to be one of them, pretty please.
I yearn for their freedom and grace
As they fall softly in their place.

I want to run through this white paradise.
Nothing can be as perfect or as nice.
They fall like snow flakes on a winter’s day,
Tempting all children to come out and play.

Lying like puffs of snow on the grass,
I can’t let this experience pass.
I must go outside right away.
I don’t know how long they will stay.

A WINTER WONDERLAND

The gate is open.
I’m going inside.
I wonder who owns this property.
Is it some computer wizard
or maybe a movie star?
For now, it’s mine.
It is quiet and deserted.
No footsteps in the snow,
besides mine.
The trees extend far into the distance.
All I can see is white and more white.
A winter wonderland
created just for me.
I hear a rumbling sound
coming from beneath me.
It’s not beneath me
but next to me.
Two Doberman Pinschers
are growling up at me.
"Zeus, Apollo?"
More growling.
Time to run.
For my life.
