ALONE WITH THE SNOW

Night Walk – {by Tiina Törmänen} | {Official WebSite}

A walk in the dark.
Alone in the park.
The cold creeps.
The trees shiver.
The falling snow whispers.
The stars sparkle.
No voices.
No noises.
Alone with the snow
And the bitter cold.

WHITE BLANKET

Source:

Look to the glowing skies,
Magic before my eyes.
Snow flutters to the ground
Without even a sound.
Masking the dirt with white,
So pretty and so bright.
I hope it can remain this way,
A blanket for one more day.

I WELCOME THEE

Clean me.
Snow on me.
Wet my hair.
Fall on my eyelids.
Drench my body.
Whiten the streets.
I welcome thee
into my heart and soul.

DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT

The glass house sparkled with a glow.
Let’s dance under the night’s snow.
Dance with me in the moonlight.
The animals won’t take fright.
When morning looms bright and gay.
The Dead won’t be here to stay.

THE FIRST SNOWSTORM

image

Snow covers the ground

with its white purity.

Everything is

whispered clean.

Sounds are muted.

Animals go into hiding.

A hush falls.

We’re able to take a deep breath,

step back,

and enjoy the beauty.

There’s no hurry.

Cars are buried.

Mass transit is shut down.

We have time for family

and snow ball fights.

Sleds sliding down

newly created hills.

Hot chocolate

in front of the fire.

Marshmallows roasting

on sticks.

I have my boots and gloves.

I’m ready!

STAND PINK

In the bleak whiteness
I stand out.
In the freezing landscape
I burn hot.
In the colorless background
I am pink.
See me.
Touch me.
Love me.

PRANCING AND PLAYING

halftimeprincess:

The snow can be beautiful.
It can be white and clean.
Horses prancing in its white down.
Snow flakes falling from the cold sky.
Children dressing warm to play.
Yes, snow can be beautiful.
Beautiful when it’s fresh and new.
