WHERE THE WIND BLOWS

The trees of the forest shiver and shake.

Their long limbs tremble from the next quake.

Their bodies blaze a frosted white.

With tears frozen from their new plight.

The world has become hard and cold.

My trembling body feels old.

I’m surrounded on four sides by white.

The bright glare has blinded my sight.

White is the color of my nightgown

As I stand and shiver with a frown.

A shadow emerges from the trees.

I hope it is not him, pretty please.

My body moves forward against my will.

I grab a thick tree and try to hold still.

I dig my feet into the packed snow,

But I must go where the wind might blow.

WHO WILL SURVIVE?

Candles in basement

Are you invited to a party?
Can it be at End House?
A deserted house at the edge
Of the forest in Oasis, Florida.
People have disappeared from this house,
Never to be seen or heard from again.
Are you going to this party?
I admire your courage.
Your tenacity.

I will tell you what you may expect.
No one will answer your knock on the door.
The door will open by itself,
Inviting you to step inside.
Flickering candles and gargoyles line the staircase.
Your group will divide into two.
The first group will follow the staircase candles.
Your group will follow the flickering
lights in the right hallway to the basement.

Which group will find the elusive host?
Who will survive to tell the tale?
Only I know.
For I am one of The Dead.
We love our games.
Welcome to THE DEAD GAME.

WHERE THE WINDS BLOW

WHERE THE WIND BLOWS The trees of the forest shiver and shake, their long limbs trembling for the next quake. Their bodies blaze a glaring white with tears frozen from their new plight. The world has become hard and cold. My trembling body feels...

The trees of the forest shake,

their limbs fearing the next quake.

Their thick trunks glisten in white,

with tears frozen from their plight.

Surrounded on four sides by white,

the bright glare has blinded my sight.

A shadow emerges from the trees.

I hope it is not him, pretty please.

My body moves forward against my will.

I grab a tree trunk and try to hold still.

I dig my feet into the packed snow,

but I must go where the wind will blow.

WHO GOES THERE?

Source:oxxxxxb

Into the woods, I flee,

yearning to be set free.

I don’t know which way to go.

I turn around, to and fro.

A light shines between the trees.

I peek between the thick leaves.

No one is on the path.

I can do simple math.

It’s them against me.

I’ll never be free.

MOONLIT FOREST

Walk with me
through the moonlit forest,
Our feet graze the blades of grass,
Held aloft by our love and passion.
Follow me through the endless night
To a land where no man walks.
Only creatures dark as the sky
Dare to venture forth alone.
Love has no bounds or shackles.
We will be free to display our passion,
Without fear from humanity,
As long as you belong to me.
Come with me, my ice princess.
Step away from the burning plains,
Where the heat burns your flesh,
And love is hampered by the living.
Wolf extends his hand toward me,
Words flowing from him,
His lips never uttering a sound,
But his meaning is clear.
We can be together,
But the other has followed us.
He will try to take me back
And never relinquish his hold.
His eyes burn red with passion.
Fire follows his footsteps,
Scorching a trail through the grass,
Melting his enemy’s cold trail.
They face each other.
Hot and cold from opposite poles,
Dueling until the end of time,
Fighting for me.

PARTY WITH THE DEAD

Follow me to the clearing,
where the trees part in fear.
The Dead come to play,
and the La Santa Muerte rule.
Bring your sacrifices.
Your wishes will come true.
The female Grim Reaper is all-powerful.
The taste of blood can be sweet.
She will grant wishes of  revenge
to your bitter heart’s content.

THE DARK FOREST

THE DARK FOREST
Follow the path.
Deep into the forest.
Ignore the howls.
Don’t turn back.
Soon you’ll be there.
Be prepared for a surprise.
A party at a deserted house.
End House waits.
And so do The Dead.

A BIT FEY

I walk with the living at day.
They do not hear I word I say.
They assume I’m alive like them,
But I’m stronger than any men.
I run through the trees,
Flying faster than bees.
At day, my true self hides away.
People believe I might be fey.
At night, I walk with others.
Closer to me than brothers.
“Who are you?” you might timidly ask.
Be careful, I’ll take you to the task.

THE DEAD ARE COMING

THE DEAD ARE COMING
The dark woods keeps them hidden.
I know that I’m forbidden
From walking this way.
I must get away.

I hear them moving through the trees.
Let me get away from them, please.
The footsteps are louder.
The moon is now rounder.

The end for me and the town is near.
A crystal ball I don’t need to peer.
My head bowed and on bended knee.
This will still not end well for me.

TRAPPED IN HELL

Sascha Schneider (German, 1870–1927), Eichenwald auf Ruegen (Oak Forest on Ruegen Island), 1925

The forest grows dark.
It has come alive.
Wooden arms reach for me.
Roots uncurl from the ground.
Trees shake and dance
to the moans of the wind.
Dark shadows follow me.
Moonlight teases me.
I’m trapped in hell,
where the sun doesn’t shine.
