BOOK HEAVEN

A perfect place for me.
Books as far as you can see.
Covering the tall walls.
Even lining the halls.
Stories for me to read.
Nothing more I would need.

THE PERFECT HOTEL

South Africa’s first-ever Book Hotel, the Royal, in Bethulie

Imagine a place like this.
The perfect hotel of bliss.
Endless books to read.
Nothing else I’d need.
Walls of books everywhere.
All you need is a chair.
Never run out of a book.
Just pick your favorite nook.
Read the day away.
Nothing else to say.

A WORLD OF DARKNESS

Source:

Welcome to our world.
Our haven from light.
A world of darkness.
We’re hidden from sight.

Dance with us tonight.
Come with us and play.
Music soothes the soul.
Dawn won’t have its say.

Lift your demon souls.
Become one with us.
Spread your wings for flight.
Become one of us.

WHITE COTTON BALLS IN THE SKY

Source:

From inside my dark room,
I watch the clouds drift by.
Puffy, white cotton balls
dotting the blue sky.
Dare I leave my safe haven
and venture outside?
I’ll wait until tomorrow
as they float on by.

OUTSIDE

From inside my dark room,
I watch the clouds float by.
Puffy cottonballs in the sky.
Dare I leave my safe haven
and venture outside?
Will the clouds wait for me?
I’ll wait until tomorrow.
One more day of watching.

From inside my dark room,
I watch the clouds float by.
Puffy cottonballs in the sky.
Dare I leave my safe haven
and venture outside?
Will the clouds wait for me?
I’ll wait until tomorrow.
One more day of watching.

THE DEAD BY THE SEA

Come with me to the pool by the sea.
Oasis is the best place to be.
Relax by the pool or sit by the bar.
Tourists visit this place from near and far.
I think I’ll take a dip in the pool.
I am definitely not a fool.
I’d never pass up a chance for fun
Or a tan in the Florida sun.
Wait! Come and look over here.
I found a book on the chair.
The small town is a beautiful place.
I see the stunned look on your face.
Oasis Hotel resembles this one.
But it isn’t always fun in the sun.
It is a haven for The Dead.
Is the heat going to your head?
The sky is turning cloudy and dark.
I can see shadows over the park.
What’s that standing behind you?
It’s not one shadow but two.
More shadows are coming ashore.
I’m not going to wait for more.
Our destiny seems to be in this book.
I’m leaving now without a second look.

ONE MORE DAY

From inside my dark room,
I watch the clouds float by.
Puffy cottonballs in the sky.
Dare I leave my safe haven
and venture outside?
Will the clouds wait for me?
I’ll wait until tomorrow.
One more day of watching.

A HAVEN NO MORE

Sunset of orange and yellow.
Sea of blue and green.
Sand of pink and white.
Homes in colors of the rainbow.
Children playing in the green park.
Tourists strolling past beds of red roses.
A perfect place.
Sky turns black and blue.
Sea becomes grey.
Sand is filled with black debris.
Homes cry red as roofs fly off.
Silvery fog fills the park.
A haven no more.
Now a playpen for The Dead.

HAVEN

buron:The Wood beyond the World (9) ©buron ‘14

HAVEN

The woods so bleak.
A haven you seek.
Hide deep inside.
We take no pride.
Sky no more.
Grass on the floor.
Come in deep.
But please don’t sleep.
For creatures come out.
You can hear them shout.
Rise up and pray.
Fear not and run away.
The haven that you seek.
Plays a game of hide and seek.
Stay away.
Far away.
From this dreaded spot.
It runs bloody and hot.
This haven you seek.
Is not but a game of hide and seek.

THE DEAD LOVE THE NIGHT

THE DEAD LOVE THE NIGHT

flowersgardenlove:

Flowers are blooming in Oasis, Florida,
around the pretty gazebo in the park,
and along the picturesque sidewalks of town.
Tourists are sunning themselves on the
pool deck at the Oasis Hotel,
or shopping at the quaint stores on Main Street.
Oasis is beautiful and peaceful during the day,
but at night the town turns into a dark haven,
harboring deadly secrets and murder.
THE DEAD love the night.

PARADISE LOST

bearandsoul:

Oasis is a perfect paradise.
Tourists flock there every year
for its warm waters and white-sand beaches.
Little do they know, but the
town turns overnight to a dark haven of evil.
Dark shadows roam the quiet streets at night.
Dead bodies are found on the beach the next morning.
The residents must find out what is happening to their
town and their missing friends.
Join them on their journey to uncover the deeply
buried secrets of Oasis.
