I am hiding being green.

On this leaf, I won’t be seen.

Feet sliding in the dew.

Orange eyes watching you.

I bet you can’t spot me.

I am one with this tree.

MOON SHADOW

I live in the shadow of the moon.
I have grown and sprouted much too soon.
I will try with all my might
To live in the bright sunlight.

I close my eyes but yet I’m still here.
Sitting on a branch next to a pear.
My petals are white as snow
Because of this fact I know.

I will never be awake at day
No matter how hard I wish and pray.
For I live in the shadow of the moon 
And I’m slated to sing the nightly tune.

What does a person need?
To make him feel safe.
To feel secure.
To feel at peace
with the world.
A stream of water.
A few mountains.
Some sunshine.
Birds chirping.
Blue sky peeking
through the entrance
to your own cave.
It can be as simple
as a floating leaf.
We need so little.
We require so little
to survive.
Yet the world provides us
with so much more.
