The earth weeps tears

to fill an ocean.

As oceans fill with waste,

no one takes notice.

As icebergs melt and crumble,

no one stops to listen.

But once a deadly virus appears,

the world wakes in an uproar.

The danger has hit home.

As we pull out our hair,

there’s no paper to spare.

President says to stay calm

while he’s spreading his fake balm.

We shouldn’t clear the shelves
