PARADISE IS CALLING MY NAME

How would paradise
appear to you?
A house standing in calm water.
The scent of flowers in the air.
People strolling the clean streets.
No need to hurry.
Warm breezes.
Sun shining.
Birds chirping.
Perfect.

A BUD

A bud so sweet,
Enticing treat.
It throws off heat,
Dance to its beat.

Its scent draws me near,
Still not feeling fear.
It soon becomes clear,
I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,
Near my face big and round.
I quickly hit the ground,
Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,
And I’m not hurting.
The sun is shining,
My bud is smiling.

FIELD OF BLUE

In the field of blue
I will roam.
In the ocean of flowers
I will be free.
In the sunshine
I will soar.
In this world
I will be happy.
Yes.
I will.

ROSE BUD

A BudA

A bud so sweet,
It can’t be beat.
Throwing off heat,
Enticing treat.

Its scent draws me near,
Still not feeling fear.
It soon becomes clear,
I shouldn’t be here.

The buzzing becomes loud,
Near my face big and round.
I quickly hit the ground,
Hoping I won’t be found.

The birds are chirping,
And I’m not hurting.
The sun is shining,
My bud is smiling.

BEAUTY IN THE SIMPLE

Beauty in the simple.
The flow of a falling vine.
The perfection of a rose.
Enough to brighten a day.
Fill you with its scent.
Entice you with its hue.
Fill you with serenity.

I FEEL FAINT

Helmut Newton – Dans la maison de Mucha, Prague, 1989

So many books to read.
I feel faint from their scent.
How can I read all of them?
Will I have enough time?
I will sleep first.
Store some strength.
Tomorrow is another day.

RING THOSE BELLS

Bells to ring in the summer.
Tiny lights to brighten the day.
A fragrance to calm the mighty.
Soothing music for the senses.

PURPLE HAZE

PURPLE HAZE

Surround me in a purple haze
As I walk slowly in a daze.
I could fall asleep in this tent.
The smell alone is heaven sent.
The scent of lilac is filling my head.
I need to find an appropriate bed.
I will just sit on this bench in the sun
And enjoy the lights of the setting sun.

HOPE

WHO’S READY FOR SPRING?
ENOUGH OF THE SNOW.
ENOUGH OF THE COLD.
I WANT TO RUN THROUGH A FIELD OF FLOWERS
AND BREATHE IN THEIR DEEP SCENT.
WHO’S READY FOR SPRING?
ENOUGH OF THE SNOW.
ENOUGH OF THE COLD.
I WANT TO RUN THROUGH A FIELD OF FLOWERS
AND BREATHE IN THEIR DEEP SCENT.
