DAY INTO NIGHT

Night into the day.

Day into night.

I’m swept away

As I hold tight.

The night numbs me,

Making me cold.

The days rush by

As I grow old.

I prefer day

When the sun shines.

The night is fey,

Dark through the pines.

Night into day.

Day into night.

Days become gray,

No strength to fight.

SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS

Follow the lights to the house of glass,
There will be much splendor in the grass.
A more decadent event there could not be,
Lights in the trees as far as the eye could see.

TO HELL AND BACK

Death walks the street
to its own crazy heartbeat.
Do we allow it to run free
and take victims at whim?
We won’t permit more to
succumb to its darkness.
We will fight the demons
to hell and back.
