FUN IN THE SUN

Take a long, cool sip of your drink.
Sit back and basque in the sunshine.
Watch your fellow guests romp in the pool.
Listen to the shouts of laughter.
Hotel Oasis is beautiful in the sunlight
with its rounded arches and palm trees.
The Atlantic Ocean can be glimpsed in the distance.
Fun in the sun.
But come nightfall, all changes.
The ocean breeze turns to violent gusts of wind.
Shadows begin to stalk the innocent guests.
All flee indoors for safety.
Chairs and tables follow a circular path,
as they are lifted in the air.
Who will be alive come morning?
Only The Dead know.
