SILENCE REIGNS SUPREME

Silence reigns supreme.

The sun hides its face.

Palm trees shake their leaves.

Winds quicken their pace.

The hotel stands deserted.

Flapping sounds fill the air.

Dark shadows join the fray

beneath his icy stare.

THE DEAD BY THE SEA

THE DEAD BY THE SEA

Come with me to the pool by the sea.
Oasis is the best place to be.
Relax by the pool or sit by the bar.
Tourists visit this place from near and far.

The sky turns cloudy and dark.
I see shadows by the park.
What’s that standing behind you?
It’s not one shadow but two.

Shadows come ashore.
I won’t wait for more.
Our destiny seems to be in this book.
I’m leaving now without a second look.

THE DEAD BY THE SEA

THE DEAD BY THE SEA

Come with me to the pool by the sea.
Oasis is the best place to be.
Relax by the pool or sit at the bar.
Tourists visit this place from near and far.

I think I’ll take a dip in the pool.
I am definitely not a fool.
I’d never pass up a chance for fun
Or a tan in the Florida sun.

Wait! Come and look over here.
I found a book on the chair.
A small town is a beautiful place.
I see the stunned look on your face.

Oasis Hotel resembles this one.
But it isn’t always fun in the sun.
It is a haven for The Dead.
Is the heat going to your head?

The sky is turning cloudy and dark.
I can see shadows over the park.
What’s that standing behind you?
It’s not one shadow but two.

More shadows are coming ashore.
I’m not going to wait for more.
Our destiny seems to be in this book.
I’m leaving now without a second look.

HE LIGHTS MY FIRE

He lights my fire

to take me higher.

The town’s on fire,

set by the sire.

He comes tonight

for the big fight.

He comes for me

from the dark sea.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Palm trees wave in the sea breeze.
A taste of salt water teases the air.
Shallow waves in blues and greens fan the shore.
Lush greenery as far as the eye can see.
Too good to be true?
Does a place like this exist?
It does exist in Oasis, Florida.
A small community nestled on the beach.
Brilliant white sand sparkles in the afternoon sun.
Tourists sunbathe beside the hotel’s pool.
But at night the climate changes.
Gone is the feeling of peace and serenity.
Gone are the warm trade winds.
Instead, the cold winds bring dark shadows.
The Dead have come to Oasis.

A VACATION PARADISE

Source:

I walk the beach,
swim the blue ocean,
and stroll the picturesque town.
Sea breezes cool the night air.
Music drifts from the mansions
in the forest behind the town.
This is Oasis,
Florida’s vacation paradise.

AN OASIS

AN OASIS

I may be living in an oasis,
Where the sun shines on a daily basis.
Florida has beautiful flowers and beaches,
But what it may be hiding are deadly leeches.
Dark shadows are following me right now.
I need to escape but I don’t know how.
I don’t want to become like that dead woman.
I don’t even know if the shadows are human.

DARK SHADOWS

Villa Belza Arnaud Cassagnet Photography www.facebook.com_arnaud.cassagnet Villa Belza, Biarritz, France #storm #villa #wave

Darkness surrounds the town of Oasis.
The only escape is through the magical door.
The door that the villagers keep hidden.
Soon all the residents will need to escape.
The Oasis Hotel is engulfed in dark shadows.
Half-filled glasses sit on the tables at its bar.
Tables and chairs fly across its patio deck.
Where are the guests?
The Dead Game has begun.

YOU ARE ALL GOING TO HELL

If death and darkness is for you,
then Oasis is the place for you.
A vacation resort where The Dead
have taken over.
They’ve taken over
the residents and tourists.
And then leave their
dead bodies on the beach.
A beach with white sand and
balmy breezes during the day.
Murder and blood at night.
Come join The Dead.
They could use more members.
To help play their games.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 201

Linda was locked in a passionate embrace with Todd. But Todd's mind seemed to be on other things again.

Todd groaned in response, his playful tongue reversing direction, picking up speed until it reached her mouth once again. Then he descended upon her with his mouth; his warm mouth, which was molding itself to hers. His whole body was molding itself to hers, until she felt as one with him. She was falling…falling into his embrace….
Right in the middle of their passionate embrace, Todd abruptly lifted his head to look down at her. “Are you sure that you wouldn’t rather be with a strong vampire like Hayden or a dashing vampire leader like Reece?” He was searching her eyes for her reaction.
“Why would you think that I would be interested in either of them?” Linda asked. She felt lost without his touch, without his lips pressing down on hers, seeking entrance to her body. Why had he stopped kissing her? How could he turn himself on and off so rapidly? Her body was still humming from his kisses…and from that tongue…
For some unknown reason he was acting insecure, but he was never unsure of himself. Maybe he just didn’t trust her after witnessing the passionate scene between her and Wolf. Or even worse, maybe he wasn’t as lost in their passion as she had been?
Determined to change the subject, she asked, “Do you have any family? I have a large family with many cousins. I have two older brothers, who have always insisted on looking out for me. But do human vampires have families?” She was beginning to ramble on, so she stopped talking.
He grinned down at her. “Of course I have a family. My father, who is a vampire, fell in love with a human and therefore, had chosen to join the experiment. The same thing had happened to Sam, Gregg, Judy, and Ryan.”
“Do you have brothers and sisters?”
“I don’t, but I have many vampire and human cousins.”
“That should make for some interesting family gatherings. What about the older human vampires in town—who are now all dead?” She suddenly felt bereft without them.
“Shirley, Hank, Minnie, and Frank were the original human vampires. They were created over forty years before our group. They never had children. Minnie and Frank were much older than they appeared. Human vampires don’t look their age, and live much longer than humans.”
“You will age slowly while I grow old ungracefully,” she said.
     “You will never age ungracefully.”
