ALONE IN THE DARK

Source:slobbering

Who sits and waits in the darkness?

There is no movement in the blackness.

As still as a fox waiting to pounce,

She waits without a ruffle or flounce.

A hissing sigh floats through the air.

Are those snakes slithering in her hair?

The ghostly form stands to meet us.

Is she the hostess sent to greet us?

We stand alone in this bleak hall.

There won’t be dancing at this ball.

Time to leave this creepy place

And quicken this story’s pace.

But since this is a horror story,

We won’t be leaving with much glory.

CREEPY, CREEPY, SCARY

1 nFnLITTbo-ReW53f2UEktQ

Creepy, creepy, scary.

It can become hairy.

The house is haunted and dark.

I came on a simple lark.

But now that I’m here,

I’m frozen with fear.

A party is to be held for us all,

But to evil creatures, we might just fall.

Down to the basement, we go,

It is silly, even I know.

Saws are swinging up ahead,

Looking to chop off a head.

Traps fall from the low ceiling.

My wet feet have lost their feeling.

We are standing in a pool,

And I feel like a big fool.

We should have gone when we had a chance.

The creatures will make us sing and dance.

The Dead have a morbid sense of humor.

I should have listened to each rumor.

Goodbye to one and all.

Look!

I see the bouncing ball.

DARK FANTASY

What lies hidden beneath End House?
Familiar faces & bony countenances.
A cacophony of moans & sounds.
A community of creatures living in the tunnels.
Friends who might be returning to the living,
Or the living who might be joining the dead.

THE HOUSE COMES ALIVE

green lips

The house comes alive.
Snakes slither in cages.
Human-eating plants stand at attention.
Tree limbs grab my arms.
Roots wrap around my legs.
What’s next?
Quicksand?

THE STAIRCASE

THE STAIRCASE

Follow the gargoyles to their master.
Follow the staircase to its source.
Take me down under
To the darkness in us all.
Beneath End House lies the answers
To questions asked from times gone by.
The unearthly dungeons and mazes
Will lead our way through hell and beyond.
I know others have gone before me
To the place deep in the earth.
Hell has unleashed its prized possessions
To torment the innocent and needy.
Even with their human bodies
They cannot hide forever from my wrath.

BE STILL MY BEATING HEART

BE STILL MY BEATING HEART

Can you feel your heart beating?
Is it beating too fast?
Do you feel trapped?
That is because you are.
You’re standing in water
in the basement of End House,
wearing your party clothes.
There is a party
but no host or guests.
The door behind you locks.
The only way is forward
through the falling cages
and circular saws,
swinging over the dark water.
Run.
Run for your life.
The owner of End House takes no prisoners.

DEADLY GAME

The stairs lead us to the basement.
Circular saws rotate above our heads.
Traps with pointy edges dangle close.
The door locks behinds us.
Water reaches our ankles.
Three doors appear on the opposite wall.
Will we make it across the water?
Will we ever see the light of day?
The house is winning the deadly game.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

Horrified by the deformed creatures, Linda slipped and lost her hold on the slimy rocks. She began to free fall through space…down into the nether reaches of End House. Flashing through her mind were disturbing images of the creatures living beneath the house. Were they somehow related to the creatures that drifted through town? Would she become one of them once she reached the bottom of the tunnel? Was there even a bottom to the tunnel? Would she continue falling forever? How…
Todd’s booming voice interrupted her wild jumble of thoughts. Into the deep unyielding silence, Todd had yelled out, “Stop!” The tunnel obeyed his order and transformed itself back into stairs with the evil creatures retreating to wherever they’d come from.
They were standing once again on top of the sweeping staircase.
Let the games begin.
