COLORS, LIGHT, ACTION

COLORS, LIGHT, ACTION
A more perfect picture there cannot be.
Bright colors as far as the eye could see.
Blue, yellow, red, orange, purple and green.
A frame is needed for this gorgeous scene.
If I could walk into this masterpiece,
My life would be so calming and at peace.

LIFE GOES BY

I sit on my perch
while life passes by.
Cars and people
always hurrying.
Airplanes in the sky
carrying their heavy loads.
I still sit here on my perch,
calm as can be,
while life goes by.

MY SECRET

MY SECRET

Sprinkle my path with pretty leaves and flowers.I want to look at water and not towers. Some color to brighten my day.A place where the birds come to play.I will walk to the end of the pier.I’ll gaze into the depths without fear. For I will only see fish swimming by.And not any monsters lurking nearby.
Time will pass slowly and must be savored.Whoever comes this way will be favored.I think it’s only prudent and fairTo share my secret with those who care.

BIG WAVES ROCK

BIG WAVES ROCK

Florida offers beautiful beaches,
Sunshine, soothing waves, and warm sea breezes.
Tourists cannot resist its lure,
A real oasis to be sure.
The waves crash against the shore,
Bringing sea creatures and more.
The increasing waves rock and roll
Until the water takes its toll.
The water reaches a new height
And the tourists react with fright.
What once was a paradise for one and all
Is under attack and under evil's thrall.

PARADISE IS CALLING MY NAME

What would paradise
look like to you?
I would say that it would
look like this picture.
A house in calm water.
The air smelling of flowers.
People moving in slow motion.
No need to hurry.
Warm breezes.
Sun shining.
Birds chirping.
What else could you
possibly ask for?

THE TERMINAL

Grand Central Terminal.
There is no other like you.
Keeping the pace through
the calm and the hectic.
Providing light through your
mullioned windows.
The watcher of it all.
The keeper of schedules.
But most of all the
keeper of time for those
passing through your gates.

A PLACE OF PEACE

bobcronkphotography:
Tropical Sanctuary - Located near Black Sands Beach on The Big Island of Hawaii.
We all need a place where we could relax.
A place to breathe and to feel whole again.
If you don’t have such a place,
you can find it in your mind’s eye.
Picture a place of beauty and peace
and let your troubles wash away.

ENJOY THE BEAUTY

I WANT TO BE HERE.
WHEREVER THIS IS,
THAT’S WHERE I WANT TO BE.
WHERE LIFE IS SLOW.
NO HURRY, NO RUSHING.
TIME TO ENJOY THE BEAUTY.

IN HAROMONY

trasvorder:

Harmony with flowers on Flickr.
DO YOU EVER FEEL OUT OF HARMONY WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD?
EVERYONE IS LIVING IN COLOR,
WHILE YOU ARE LIVING IN BLACK & WHITE.
IT IS A BAD FEELING.
I’M HAPPY WHEN THE FEELING PASSES.

THE DEAD GAME--DAY 30

After closing her shop for the day, Shana checked outside for any lingering shadows. She’d been having the feeling that someone was playing with her mind. She didn’t know if she was being paranoid, but she could feel the evil spreading through Oasis. The only reason she was attending the party tonight was to keep a watchful eye on her friends and to make sure that no one wandered off by themselves. If there was a psycho stalking and killing the residents and tourists, she feared that there was nothing she could do on her own to save the next victim.
As she neared her apartment, the sky changed from
its usual calm blue to a dark grey color. It appeared heavy with enormous black angry clouds, hanging close to the shore. The clouds seemed to be alive and breathing from the way they swayed and moved. She raced home the rest of the way, all the while scolding herself for now being afraid of clouds. She couldn’t believe that she had just terrified herself with her own gloomy and twisted thoughts.
At home she checked the sky from her front window. It appeared bright blue again with soft white puffy clouds. She didn’t know if she had just imagined the ominous clouds…or if the shadowy creatures of hell had added another trick to their growing collection of evil pranks.

MANY FACES

d-o-m-i-n-a-n-t-i-a:

RAGING WATERS
The ocean can be calm.
It can also be angry.
So angry that its waves crash against the shore.
Hitting rocks and whatever is in its way.
It has many faces.
Just like humans, who decide each day what face to present to the world.
What’s your face today?

LIFE CAN BE CRAZY

LIFE COULD BE CRAZY
At times, life moves so fast around us that we almost feel like we’re standing still. It’s hard to keep up. Especially around the holidays.
We must maintain our calm, no matter who pushes us or honks at us.
Let the traffic flow around us and keep our inner peace intact.

WAVES CRASHING AGAINST THE ROCKS

WAVES CRASHING AGAINST THE ROCKS

WAVES CRASHING AGAINST THE ROCKS
What could possibly sound better or more relaxing? How many books do you think have been written by authors inspired by the ocean?
The ocean inspires me. It is one of nature’s greatest achievements. There is beauty in its perfection. It covers a large portion of the earth—its vastness awes us.
When I was growing up, I used to visit Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn just to watch the waves. On some days, the ocean was calm and quiet. On other days, it would rear its mighty head and roar. Its waves would pound with force against the rocks.
I don’t live as close to the ocean any longer, but I still visit the beach to watch the ocean and its soothing waves.
Beauty can be found in all of nature. We just have to pay attention.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE SNOW?

I'm not ready for the snow. I'm trying to prepare myself with thoughts of white trees and grass, and picnics in the snow. I've never had a picnic in the winter and I don't know if I want to have one.

When the snow covers the earth, I like the quiet that envelopes everything. Before the cars and people come out, you can feel the quiet. No birds or sounds, just total quiet. And a whiteness like a clean blanket thrown over your little spot in the world. I could look forward to this.

When everything is quiet, you could hear yourself think. Feel yourself calm down. A reprieve from the hustle of everyday life. I guess we all could use the time to recharge our inner batteries.
So enjoy the snow and its special gift to you.
