DOOR TO NOWHERE

15turchia
Some days you want to escape.
To a place far away.
Meet new people.
Leave old baggage behind.
Open the proverbial door.
See if the grass is greener.
On the other side.
Most of the time it isn’t.
A door balanced at the edge of a pier.
It might not be holding any answers.
Home might have had the answers all along.

TURNED TO STONE

enyaja:

TURNED TO STONE

I have turned to stone.

I’m chilled to the bone.

The coldness is spreading.

Where can this be heading?

Please help me.

You can see.

Life is at its end.

I can’t even bend.

Who’s my deadly foe?

I still need to know.

Leave me be.

You shouldn’t see

What I’ve become.

Leave and be gone.

A RAY OF HOPE

The world can be a dark place.
It can bring sadness and despair.
But just when things are looking the darkest,
a little light shine shines through the inky darkness.
A ray of hope.
Search for your ray of hope that
will guide you back to the land of the living.

DALI AT HIS WEIRD BEST

rainingbluefloyd:

Dalì, Swans Reflecting Elephants. 1937.

No one can create a picture like Dali.
A picture with hidden meanings about his many obsessions.
The more you stare at it, the more you can see.
Disturbing images from Dali’s youth.
Could that be Dali standing off to the left side
by himself, with his hands in his pockets,
staring off into space?
A man who never fit in with his peers or society.
A man who used his demons to create works of art.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

Our problems can feel insurmountable at times.
Obstacles too big to overcome.
Life can be one long battle.
But if we persevere we can reach our goals.
If we do it one step at a time,
we can fulfill our dreams
and even find new ones.

ALL BY MYSELF

dehanginggarden:

when blue is blue by chriseastmids

In the dark of night,
a plant grows by itself.
Around it the land is barren.
No colors shimmer in the darkness,
besides the deep blue of its petals.
It hangs its head down low,
weeping for its loneliness,
waiting for other flowers to bloom.
But sadly, it must wait in vain,
for no other plant will flower nearby.

SAD?

FEEL SAD?
THE SNOW IS COMING?
STAY INSIDE AND STAY WARM.
CURL UP WITH A GOOD BOOK.

JUST A PICTURE

THIS PICTURE BREAKS MY HEART.
EVEN THOUGH IT IS JUST A PICTURE.
I TELL MYSELF OVER AND OVER.
BUT STILL MY HEART IS BREAKING.
