THE MIST

Gone in the mist.
Gone from this world.
Lost in a rainbow of colors.
Dead to us.
Alive for others.

BURNING

Is End House gone for good?
Will it be back in a different form?
It burns in hell.
It burns to ashes.
Melting into the ground.
Into the dark tunnels.
I can hear the rumbling.
The voices of The Dead.
In their locked chambers.
Waiting to return.

FUN

Sometimes you’re the fish and sometimes you’re the dog

Made my day.

PIECE OF PARADISE

I need my own piece of paradise.
A plot of land to call my own.
Full of flowers and trees.
A cobbled path for me.
A place to read and relax.
Where the sun bows its regal head.
The sweet aroma fills the air.
Birds visit but not too near.
I will create such a place.
You will be the first invited.

THOUSANDS TO HELL

From the trailer for Mata Hari (1931).

The Dead have sent tens of thousands to hell.
A hell visited by the unwanted and abandoned.
Hell hounds guard the gates.
The Dead keep the prisoners locked up.
Chained to the walls in their chambers.
No one ever escapes alive.
The location is secret.
The leader of The Dead is a secret.
His family is interred inside the tunnels.
We’ve heard of an uprising.
The Dead will soon be free.
The town of Oasis will be their destination.
Time to flee from our oasis.
Leave our homes and businesses.
Before evil is unleashed on town.
The town is erupting with lightning and thunder.
Fire burns through the pretty white church.
Flapping wings surround us.
We must leave now!
THE DEAD are coming for us!
THE DEAD GAME

THE WOODS

The woods hold dark secrets.
Buried beneath the black grass.
Blood red leaves blanket the floor.
A green mist covers all.
Shades of green color the scene.
Gnarled tree limbs reach out to visitors.
Creaking and groaning as they bend in the wind.
Is that a figure in the distance?
Its eyes glow yellow in the green mist.
Is it friend or foe?
Wretched fingers encircle my neck.
The trees have taken us hostage.
The figure draws near.
It gives a cackle.
Not a good sign.
A pot is set up in the clearing.
Figures are mixing the concoction inside.
I don’t want dinner.
And I definitely don’t want to be dinner.

COCOON

Cover me with leaves.

Shade me with your glory.

Heights towering above.

A protective cocoon.

LADY OF THE NIGHT

So sad.

Lady of the night.

Drifting through time.

Through space.
Lost.

Waiting.

Watching.

Alone.

Forever.
