Light squeezes between the leaves.

Eyes to the sky serve me best.

Rays cast hot fingers on me.

Sun has passed its daily test.

The circle widens and deepens.

A place to while away the day.

I keep to its rounded corners.

A place I’ve come to love and pray.

A PLACE OF FANTASY

A PLACE OF FANTASY

A place of fantasy there must be,
Where blues and green merge in the deep sea.

Clouds create formations into works of art,
Resembling soft cotton balls splitting apart.

I raise my face to the sunshine of the day,
The rays shooting sparks as they frolic and play.

The sand is soft beneath my feet,
Warming my body with its heat.

Come with me and enjoy the dazzling sun,
We’re sure to have fun till the day is done.

See me.
Rays of light.
Feel me.
Waves of heat.
Touch me.
Enter the void.
Travel with me.
To places unexplored.
Flashes of lights.
Explosions in space.
Welcome to the unknown.
Welcome to my mind.

A pretty picture to soothe my mind.

Bright colors to make feel happy.

A sprinkle of fireworks.

A bright ray of the sun.

A disco ball of mirrors.

A rainbow of colors.

Takes so little.

So little to make my day.

FAREWELL

The sun bids me adieu.
After the day is through.
I will say my farewell
To the last rays as well.

The moon will bring darkness
For which I've no fondness.
I will be by myself.
All alone on this shelf.

I will patiently wait here
For the next day to appear.
After the moon has its fun,
It will be time for the sun.

Will the sun rise today?
Colors of yellow and red.
Glowing inside to its own beat.
Shimmering with heat.
Ready to begin a new day.

Will you rise today?
Bringing light to the dismal world.
Breaking into the darkness.
Shattering the bleakness.
With your bright rays.

Will you rise today for me?
Please do.
For I need you.
I need your light.
Your soul.
Your heavenly body.
Please rise for me today.

AN ODE TO THE CLOUDS

The clouds.
The clouds hold our tears.
They hold our hopes and dreams.
Circling us with their never-ending movement.
A special dance among the stars in heaven.
Protecting us from the harsh rays of the sun.
Keep moving and evolving, beautiful clouds,
like our dreams that you hold so dear.

WHAT A GREAT VIEW!
I WOULD LOVE TO WAKE UP EACH DAY WITH SUCH A GRAND VIEW.
INSTEAD OF WAKING UP TO SEE THE MESS ON MY DRESSER,
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE OCEAN WITH ITS SOFTLY LAPPING WAVES,
WITH THE RISING SUN CASTING ITS COLORFUL RAYS.
