A DOOR

A door.
A simple door.
Flowers in front.
A closed door.
Why are the flowers
blocking the entrance?
Is there a hidden society
tucked away inside?
Maybe a family
afraid of visitors.
You’ll never know,
Unless you knock.
Do you want to?
The truth might not be
as interesting
or as tantalizing.
Walk away.
Keep the mystery alive.

PLAY THE MUSIC

PLAY THE MUSIC

Play the music.
Play as fast as you can.
Pound on the keys.
Dance with the violin.
Beat on the drums.
Keep dancing.
Keep playing.
Faster and faster.
Before it’s too late.
Before death comes.
Knocking at your door.
It will come tonight.
It will wait for quiet.
So keep playing.
Keep dancing.
Until the sun rises.
And the night is gone.
And so is death.

A DOOR

A door.
A simple door.
A pot of flowers
sitting before it.
The number one beside it.
What does it mean?
Is the door closed off
from the outside?
No one is to enter.
Why?
Why are the flowers
blocking the way?
Is there a hidden society
tucked away inside?
Or maybe a family
afraid of visitors.
You’ll never know,
unless you knock on the door.
Do you really want to?
Do you want to find out,
or maybe keep it a secret?
The truth might not be
as interesting,
as tantalizing.
Walk away.
Keep the mystery alive.

THE DEAD ARE WATCHING AND WAITING

THE DEAD ARE WAITING

Come inside and visit.
The door is open for you.
The Dead are waiting for you.

Come inside and visit.
The door is open for you.
The Dead are waiting for you.

THE DEAD TAKE NO PRISONERS

What is happening inside the gazebo?
It is the dead of night in Oasis, Florida.
Mingled with the sounds of the howling wind
are sounds of chanting.
These sounds grow louder
as we step closer to the gazebo.
What is inside the gazebo?
Candles are lit in a circle, their
lights unwavering in the growing wind.
And in the middle of the circle, there is
a body dangling from a noose.
Dark figures are circling the body
and chanting in a foreign language.
The Dead Game has begun.
