Into the woods, I flee,

Yearning to be set free.

I don’t know which way to go.

I turn around, to and fro.

A light shines between the trees.

I peek between the thick leaves.

No one is on the path.

I can do simple math.

It’s them against me.

Old remnants of tears held back

& times too hard to bear.

Woven from black sheets of rain,

fear covers in disarray.

Anguished & frozen with pain,

dark petals fall in dismay.

I may be living in an oasis,

Where the sun shines on a daily basis.

Florida has beautiful flowers and beaches,

But what it may be hiding are deadly leeches.

Dark shadows are following me right now.

I need to escape but I don’t know how.

I don’t want to become like that dead woman.

I don’t even know if the shadows are human.

I will feast on my prey.

It’s a pumpkin today.

Come tomorrow, I will search

for someone left in the lurch.

An old carcass for me

or a table set for tea.

SILENCE

The silence moves.

Its breath cold 

on my neck.

It watches

and waits for a sound.

It drifts closer,

then surrounds me.

Once it hears any sound,

it will silence me

forever.

A blue wave of ocean.

Coming closer to shore.

Bringing with it darkness.

And yet still so much more.

I’m tempted to ride it.

Take it to the limit.

I want to see its strength

And if it’s a gimmick.

The blue is almost transparent.

A glass of cold water for me.

Hitting me in the face with salt.

Lifting me as high as can be.

Goodbye to the town of Oasis.

Goodbye to my perfect paradise.

Squashed by the hand of The Dead and gone.

By a mere roll of the deadly dice.

The Sighişoara Citadel is one of the most beautiful citadels in Europe.
Sighişoara is situated on the Târnava Mare River, in the historic region of Transylvania. The city is know to Hungarians as “Segesvár” and to the Germans as “Schäßburg”.
I have been to many cities in my country, but I have to say that Sighişoara is one of the most beautiful cities of Romania. The Sighişoara Citadel is registered in the UNESCO world heritage. The citadel was built in the 12th century. In the 15th – 16th century, Sighişoara became an important political, economical and cultural center. The defensive wall with a length of 930 m, 14 defense towers and 5 artilery bastions used to protect the city. There are still 9 towers and two bastions.
Sighişoara is also known as the birthplace of Vlad Ţepeş (Vlad the Impaler). Vlad Ţepeş, Prince of Wallachia, was born in 1431 in…
