EMPTY INSIDE?

By Rhaevyn Hart

Do you feel empty inside?
Nothing to offer the world.
No words of wisdom to share.
No pretty pictures to paint.
No music to play.
This isn’t true.
Everyone has something to offer.
Whether it’s good food or fun.
Laughter, or just love.
We all have something to offer.
Let no one make you feel unimportant.
We all have important roles to play in life.
What is yours?

RESPECT

Respect needs to be nurtured.
It needs to be in the sunshine.
It needs to grow unhampered.
It needs to be shared.
But most of all,
It needs to be earned.

A MEMORY

A step into the unknown

"Take a long walk on a short pier"
was my father's favorite line.
Assuming he wanted to get rid of me,
I walked away.
Hurt.
We weren’t close.
We never talked.
But he could have been sharing with me.
His love of the sea.
A Marine in World War II,
he loved boats and the sea.
Now when I look at the ocean,
I think of him.

MISSING YOU

I miss you,
dear brother.
So many years
have passed
without you.
Without you to
share my adventures,
my happiness,
my sorrows.
Life has been lackluster
without you.
It’s been missing a
vital ingredient.
It’s been missing you.

THERE

I want to be there.
Not here by my computer.
But there on the beach.
Walking on the sand.
Feeling the cold water
hit my toes.
The pounding surf
against my body.
Spray of salt water
on my face.
Soothing.
Refreshing.
Like a cocoon,
enveloping me,
comforting me.
I close my eyes
and feel a laugh
bubbling inside of me,
ready to take flight.
A laugh of delight
and freedom.
Come join me.
A fantasy can
be easily shared.

AN ISLAND TO MYSELF

Lonely Paradise by Jeroen Lucas
Imagination(http://i-believe.tk) -

Do you ever feel alone?
No one close to you.
No one to understand your problems.
Thoughts rumbling through your brain
with no one to share them with.
I might as well be on a desert island
with only water around me for miles.
A desert island all to myself.

SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOPS

When I receive a 5 Star Review, I want to shout from the rooftops, "Hey! Someone enjoyed my book!"
That's what I'm doing right now.
Thank you Astrid Grant for your kind words.

MY FIVE STAR REVIEW ON AMAZON:

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Big Bad Wolf is already waiting for us...", June 25, 2014
This review is from: The Dead Game (Kindle Edition)
I cannot say how glad I am that I got the opportunity to read this book. This story puts me in mind of the horror classics – it has a little bit of everything: gore, eeriness, a nice array of shrinking violet heroines and a few tough broads, a bit of romance and plenty of twists (why, Natalia, why?)!
One of the things that I absolutely loved about this book was that it jumped into action right from the first page, and didn't let up right until the end.
Another thing that I loved is this author's style – the scenes were beautifully descriptive, stylish, and at times, quite gruesome (I'll have nightmares about the fireplace for some time). They were also crafted in such a way that it was easy to envision every terror, almost as if it were a film.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to any fan of good, classic horror – whether you're into vampires, demons, or just like some gruesome nighttime reading.

OUR PATH IN LIFE

The path we must follow is our own.
Unique and specially
tailored for each one of us.
It is not to be shared or traded.
As we forge ahead through life with
our eyes facing forward to the future,
we should never look back or to either side
with longing or jealousy of others’ paths.
For we should be content with our
journey in life.
